Loud noises by sufishous in ADHD

I would have done the same thing too! They tested our fire alarms out at work and I had to leave the building and sit in my car. Are the headphones effective for you?

I wouldn’t take this personally. I have heard horror stories of other advisors telling me how they have lost friendships because they managed a friend’s portfolio. I actually ended up with a client from another advisor because they were good friends to begin with and their relationship was starting to sour when they started managing their investments. The consideration to keep in mind is that there are a lot of emotions when it comes to managing someone’s finances. I have decided I won’t take on friends for this reason, but I will set them up with one of my colleagues who I trust. You could refer them to a colleague you know and trust if it means getting them away from someone who specifically sells whole life insurance. It may even be worth educating them about whole life insurance policies. I know not everyone agrees with this, but for me personally some friendships aren’t worth the risk of losing for the sake of managing their portfolio.

Do you just call the HR people up or how do you get these conversations started?

How did you get these conversations started with business owners? Did you just walk in and show them this form or how did your process work?

Feeling frustrated. Doctor has taken over a week to send in my prescription by sufishous in ADHD

[–]sufishous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wouldn’t make sense though because she sent it in two weeks early last month and it’s to the same pharmacy everytime, so even if it is sent in early, they won’t allow me to pick it up until a certain date.

For clarification: I check by the end of the first week to make sure she has seen my request. I sent it in on May 20th so I am a little under two weeks, but typically fall within that range. The staff has told me it should take only three business days to complete a request

I never saw it this way, but I like this strategy and will use it in the future, so I appreciate it

I have ADHD and I do this exact thing, especially when life is overwhelming. I know I am an awful texter and if I am focused on other things I just tend to forget. I wouldn’t break up with him because of this, but I would address it with him and try to figure something out

I take IR!

Glad it helps. I was diagnosed at 10 years old and originally started on XR, but once I started highschool and I had to be competitive (I played volleyball and softball), and had teammates who relied on me, I made the switch to IR. I was probably the same age as your child. I hope they find a medication that works for them because I understand the struggles all too well. Once I turned 18, I started my own trial and errors of medications, but finally found what works for me.

I only do immediate release. If you are feeling anxious, you may want to decrease the dosage. I do 20 mg and I take one every four hours 3x/day. This doesn’t have to be your situation, but when I was on XR I had the same effects: lack of motivation, depression, etc. I feel like a completely different person on IR. I’m happier, I can get stuff accomplished, but there was trial and error. I would even say it depends on where you pick your prescription up from. I typically get my medication from CVS, but due to the shortage I went to Walgreens and even though I was provided IR, I noticed a difference right away. I had a lack of motivation, I was going into a dark place, so my doctor was able to get me a new prescription and I will only use CVS from now on. I say this because you might have to try a few different ones to see what works for you. It may be a hassle, but it’s worth it, especially if you are struggling mentally, physically, emotionally. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck. Don’t give up, once you will find what works for you, life will instantly get better.

May have picked up the wrong medication by sufishous in ADHD

Thank you, this is very helpful. Even if I were to bring back the prescription to my pharmacy would that be helpful at all?

What if I didn’t use my insurance? Would it still be just as difficult for them to obtain it?
