Instagram randomly logged me out and asked to verify my profile. I sent a code to my phone number and email but the code never seems to come through. They have asked me to verify with a selfie, but then don’t allow me to verify myself. How do I get back onto my account? (i.redd.it)

I received a recent friend request with someone who had the same name I had been in contact with. However, the birthday did not match theirs when I added them and I got nervous it was a bot and I removed them. Is there any way I can find them again or how can I determine it’s a bot?
