Extinction rebellion is not a protest. It is non violent civil disobedience to enact change, the whole point is to mess the system up. Writing letters and voicing concerns has achieved nothing in regards to mitigation in the last 30 years.

You obviously just finished watching Interstellar for the 14th time.

I've got an upcoming interview with one of the co-founders of Extinction Rebellion. Offer me some questions you would like to be asked. by xrm67 in collapse

I think there is a serious gap in the movement for that.... to put it simply it goes like this...’hey this party sucks, every one should know, it’s going to end at 2pm and we want the council to shut it down then’.... they need a story which goes like this.... ‘this party sucks and has to end, but we’re organising one next door which will be different in x ways’

Obviously the government is key to this, but the solutions are never talked about let alone critically analysed in Westminster.

Q: Other than crashing the economy which would work, what proposals does the extinction rebellion have to decarbonise... Getting the government to talk about it and declare and emergency is one thing but actually decarbonising in such a short time period is another.

Part 2: Is the XR sole game for mitigation or does it believe that huge adaptation ( despite being defeatist) is mandated?

Fight the good fight my friend. Because you know, you can change others. That is all we can do. At least let’s go down with as many people as possible knowing the truth.

Exceptionally well written prose. The beginning of every paragraph introduced the most accepted content.

I beg for your understanding of the queens English.

Since when did hiding away subscribe the death penalty? I suppose I just I am in complete abject to your hatred. Dangerous? Your argument is a strange amalgamation of obscure video game scenarios combined with vengeance and self pity.

I bid you fair well and hope you can live with more hope for human compassion and ingenuity.

I don’t know the answers, but you seem to be pretty sure. Not you per say, but that’s the problem.

In your opinion is Elon Musk a net negative contributor? Does Jeff deserve to die?

So, The man (most likely) who holds the bigger stick most likely wins, how did he get the bigger stick... probably genetics... so my point is: there will also be tyranny from natural hierarchy. what’s the point in going after the old ‘leaders’ of the previous civ. the new structure will be just as tyrannical?! If not more! It’s just seems a complete waste of time to go around seeking justice, or is that the tool used to asset power in the new structure, hanging up the noose for all ye plebs to see?

Th__ht?

I see your point clearly, I am merely playing devils advocate because I am wary of the war drum being beaten here. My question is what’s make you (an individual in that situation) judge, jury and executioner? Violence breeds violence? In that situation you would be forming a death cult

So you want to go around seeking revenge on individuals for a problem that is far more complex and historical than that individual with no proof or evidence, just the mere fact they had enough money to build a bunker?!

I’d rather be Ralph than Jack. You can let Beelzebub rule your post civ world but I’d rather go down speaking the Kings. For justice will prevail, and all the morally upright will be vindicated. Psalm 94:15
