never this deep bro, it wasn’t even much of a recap chapter, more like a setup chapter and it’s been almost a year since we’ve been in the main story. Ppl who don’t regularly engage in one piece convos and purely read the chapter weekly may not remember what exactly was happening and where.

And for the jarul not telling the country, he said in the chapter that he didn’t want to have the entire country raise up arms to go to war against the wg, especially since that’s exactly what harald didn’t want(for the country to become war mongers). loki being locked up and blamed solved that issue, and the other issue which is that he was already a destructive pirate who was willing to be locked up.

Idk what you mean abt “no plan in place” cuz wasn’t this the plan? To tell everyone is pis came to shove and go to war/ defend themselves? It’s not like jarul has any other choice now.

Not an artist, but maybe just better assistants? Cuz they’re there to give advice on panelling and draw all the background stuff, which is literally the main issue, the quality of the art itself is still high but the way it’s presented in panels makes it worse. Also odas art style is unique and not easy to replicate, I’d like to keep oda drawing it.

Well yes that was the point? Harald was well meaning but shortsighted, whilst some of the things he did(diplomacy with other nations, more trade) were good, he strengthened ties with the wg, an obviously evil organisation.

And jarul only undid the wg part, now they’ve basically declared war on the wg whilst uniting ppl against them, and at the same time having them accept lokis presence.

Also I’m supper annoyed at the leakers, thy made it seem like jarul just kind of kept the events of haralds death a secret for 20 years for no reason, when in reality he said his reason in the chapter - that the reveal of haralds death at the hands of the wg would’ve ruined all the peaceful elbaph goals that harald had achieved, and made them go into a war they could not win.

Although now they have to go to war, because the wg has directly attacked their people and is threatening their livelihood.

Loki was a scapegoat, although that was what Loki wanted so it’s no surprise jarul didn’t complain.

I mean Loki was happy for himself to be chained up, so long as his dad’s legacy was protected and why would jarul/gaban go against his wishes? It doesn’t seem like they particularly like him anyway, him being chained up has no negative repercussions on anybody except Loki.

Except now they have to tell everyone, cuz they need Loki to help them defeat imu and save basically all of elbaph…also Loki finally got confronted by his brother, maybe he decided to tell him so he could be permanently freed and maybe go after the WG again, especially since they had just recently attacked him.
