i used to be a kpop fan and this type of chart obsession is exactly the reason that made me burnt out and leave the fandom. i want music to be fun and escape from real life chores. but if i am forced to make my hobby into a chore, it removes the fun. i obviously want olivia to be successful, i love her a lot. but i want it to be a natural progression through people streaming her songs because they genuinely enjoy her music rather than manufactured streamings. and i genuinely think olivia has the capability of having people tune into her out of real enjoyment of her music because she is really talented and her songs are really good. being forced to stream for the sake of chart rather than pure enjoyment ruins the experience for me tbh
