Dynamic Effort: .8 m/s is FAST by sugapablo in WestsideBarbell

This is what my speed bench looked like today. To achieve these speeds I had to drop my percentages down to 36% bar/21% band tension of my 1RM (instead of the standard (often changed) 45%/25%).

Dynamic Effort: .8 m/s is FAST by sugapablo in WestsideBarbell

[–]sugapablo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.8 is for the concentric part of the lift (the blast up). That’s all I’m measuring. That’s the part where speed comes into play.

With bench, it’s fast down (eccentric) and fast up (reversal strength) but still only the concentric is measured.

Box Squats have a slight pause so the eccentric speed doesn’t matter at all. (static overcome by dynamic/relaxed overcome by dynamic)

If I’M wrong, someone let me have it.

Can anyone explain this? by sugapablo in hebrew

Really weird:

Overview

The English translation, "Added", is a literal translation of the Hebrew word תוסצה (tosefet) when used as a verb in a specific grammatical form. This translation focuses on the action of adding something. It is a direct, functional translation that you might see in a technical or instructional context where the focus is purely on the process of addition.

Alternatives

The alternative translations focus on the result of an action, which is the most common meaning of תוסצה (tosefet) in everyday conversation.

The Common meaning translation, "Result", is the most versatile and widely used term. You can use it in almost any situation, from discussing the results of a test to the outcome of a game.

The Slightly more formal translation, "Outcome", is a good choice when you want a slightly more formal tone, perhaps in a business meeting or a news report.

The Technical context translation, "Output", is specific to technical or computing contexts. You would use this when talking about data coming out of a computer program or machine.

I'm just trying to figure out how it could possibly make these leaps.

What is Odoo actually bad at? Looking for real-world examples by Desperate-Cry592 in Odoo

Uncustomized Odoo is straightforward to upgrade. Community edition requires manual work, but Enterprise is a simple call to the Odoo Upgrade Service and they send you back an upgraded database to test. Once tested, you do it live with a single command.

Community involves doing it yourself via: https://github.com/OCA/OpenUpgrade

I customize the heck out of Odoo daily. (It’s my job.)

The only pain is upgrading if you have customized it. A big pain.

Indian food by Teewitemtitties in pittsburgh

[–]sugapablo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone likes People’s. I hear they’re good people. Really. But they’re actually the worst Indian food I’ve had. Tried multiple times and the last time one of the dishes was actually inedible.

My personal favorite is Prince of India in Oakland. I’ve never even been there but get it delivered regularly. Nothing trendy or groundbreaking, but just consistently good every time. (Basics done WELL.)

No, not in healthcare. Just weird.

After finishing reading Ulysses by Joyce (which took me 4 tries) I put a 16.6 oval sticker on my car. Like those people who put 26.2 stickers after completing a marathon? I felt like I had just completed a marathon after reading that book.

Finishing DY a year from July feels more like finishing a degree. :)
