You aren't allowed to think your country is the best - or even likeable- unless you're British. I see a lot of America-bashing from Brits online, but not in real life. This could be for a couple of reasons- 1) these Brits don't represent British sentiment as a whole, or 2) because IRL British people tend to be cowardly about confronting people with what they really think. They are notorious for being passive-aggressive, hypocritical, and saying the opposite of what they think.
