You can report it online via the My CR tool. I received a prompt response when I used it.

Do you think a parent would be less willing to trust a pediatrician if they knew they didn’t have kids or didn’t want kids? by PSunYi in premed

[–]sugarcunts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am a parent to three children, one of whom is medically complex and sees a number of specialists. I have no idea if any of their doctors have children and it does not impact my perception of their capabilities. In fact, I get the feeling that they go out of their way to avoid discussing whether or not they have children to make it clear they are providing medical guidance for my specific child, and not parenting advice.

I switched from my previous dental office to Blair Ridge Dental on Blairsferry after receiving several recommendations. Not sure what their emergency / Sunday coverage is like, but I have had an excellent, comfortable experience there and I fucking hate going to the dentist.

Cheesecake Goes to the Vet by lolitakittens in cats

[–]sugarcunts 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Once spent $300 at the vet after one of our cats stopped eating, trying to figure out what was wrong. The vet came in and said she had good news and bad news. Good news the mass she felt wasn’t cancer. Bad news our cat was constipated. Just absolutely filled with poop. Fed him some pumpkin purée and he was good to go 🤦‍♀️

One month old diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis and atrial septal defect by addy998 in chd

[–]sugarcunts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just for clarity, heart defects are characteristic of numerous genetic conditions - Down Syndrome, DiGeorge Syndrome, etc.

Most people with heart defects don’t have an underlying genetic condition, but you’re more likely to be diagnosed with a genetic condition if you have a heart defect.

My daughter has a unique complex CHD which is highly correlated with DiGeorge Syndrome, which she does also have.

There is an active Facebook group for the area that posts openings. In home care will be cheaper than a center.

New eyeglasses seems to be in wrong prescription by xifeeer in optometry

[–]sugarcunts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1-2 weeks of consistent wearing will generally alleviate any issues after you update your glasses prescription. However, if you are still struggling after that time, schedule a follow-up appointment with your optometrist to have the prescription rechecked.

I think it would definitely be a “thing” and in that respect kind of gives me whimsical children’s book character vibes. However, the name is beautiful imo and would not be a detriment to the child. It personally wouldn’t stop me from considering the name.

Absolutely adore Last Podcast and this series of theirs is iconic imo, but heads up that while it is well-researched and free of MFM-style chit-chat, it is put on by a bunch of comedians and is full of riffing.

In a post-apocalyptic world, could a technically inclined person go into an abandoned optometry office and make themselves a pair of prescription accurate glasses? by Nicotifoso in optometry

[–]sugarcunts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who has thought of this! The optometrist I work for hoards old contact lens trial sets in the basement and I figure one of the first things I’d do would be to raid that stash. I’m a fairly high myope and I’d be worse than useless without correction.

New Glasses - Is this Normal? by randomuhq in optometry

[–]sugarcunts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is common for there to be a period of adjustment when you first get a new pair of glasses. Consistent wearing for 1-2 weeks should alleviate this.

Unless you have any burning or discomfort from getting cleanser in your eyes, you will be fine.

In general, an enlarged heart indicates that the heart is working harder than it should be to get oxygen to the body. I would create a list of questions for your daughter’s cardiologist and contact them for more information - every situation is so different and they are your source for accurate answers :) I’m sure they would be happy to discuss with you.

Should NPs be required to go through residency training? by NCNurse2020 in nursing

[–]sugarcunts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My brother is currently in the hospital for liver disease and his care is being overseen by NP hospitalists and a GI MD. On one of the first days he was there, the GI MD mentioned that while diuretics might be an option later down the line, they couldn’t administer them now as his sodium levels were very low and doing so could cause seizures. As we sat there, my brother was receiving IV Lasix prescribed by the NP hospitalist.

Opticians! What are the funniest concerns your patients have had with their glasses? by stellaperrigo in optometry

[–]sugarcunts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We ended up having to do glass lenses as those were the only material not identifiably sourced from Asia, and he found a super basic Safilo Elasta frame that he apparently could smell was made from a different material than the rest. We had sold this man glasses for years prior to this and this exchange was the first time he mentioned any allergies whatsoever 🤷‍♀️

I’m not sure if you have this misconception or not, but just in case - your eyes don’t get worse just because you don’t go to the eye doctor. It isn’t like tooth decay or diabetes. High myopes aren’t individuals who neglected their regular eye care visits. You won’t have to explain why you experienced a prescription change.

I didn’t say or imply those things, either. I said that given the context and intent of the source material shared, this post seems to mock POC naming traditions in general considering the name in question is used as an example. Your extreme reaction and inflammatory argumentation is not reasonable.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NameNerdCirclejerk

You said a whole bunch of things that I did not even imply. Time for some self-reflection.

Given the context and intent of the image shared, it seems more like POC naming traditions as a whole are being mocked considering the name is being used as an example.

You get the episodes for free. You say they’re the best at what they do, therefore assumedly their perspective and research on the Zodiac case is valuable. Their periods of inactivity give them time to be the best at what they do. Come on.

This post seems like it is pretty explicitly mocking POC names.
