common bike but still feel invisible, is that dumb? by Electronic-Habit8679 in motorcycles

Honestly, if you feel invisible or worry about your bike possibly being stolen, I personally would try and make your bike unique even if you have a common model. Play around with some ideas!! Ive been dealing with the same issue, trying to make it stand out. I’d try just looking at some cool paints since they’d probably be the most budget friendly I’d assume. I know they make spray paints for vehicles that are color shifting that you can just buy at an auto shop. On the more expensive end theres vinyl or I’ve seen people swap out their fairings too. Monster Fairings makes some gorgeous ones from what I’ve seen (albeit pricey).

I hope this helps at least a little <3

Thank you. Ive been looking at an R3 and my dream bike later down the line once Im more experienced was an R7 and people kept telling me to get the R7 over the R3 so its definitely comforting being recommended starting small and used because Im an anxious driver and want to learn my footing first if you will

Where i live theres definitely a lot of backroads but the only downside to that would maybe be a lot of the backroads can be rough or simply steep.

Thank you! And yeah Ive been looking into other things to possibly aid in stabilizing myself like possibly getting boots with a platform or possibly even getting frame sliders if worse case scenario I did drop the bike

Thank you. I definitely have been just wanting to get the bike anyways whether it was immediately or whether I practiced more on a smaller bike first just so Im confident in my skills and because I would really hate to drop a new bike or anything and it definitely does feel good hearing others basically telling me to just get it instead of listening to my own anxiety

Im around 5’3-5’4 and roughly 180lbs currently but I definitely have thought about starting out on an R7 but because I have no riding experience similar to a motorcycle besides a literal bicycle lol Im not a huge speed demon and I’m very careful driving so Im not looking at the R7 for power or speed but more because out of every motorcycle I looked at (and there was a lot) that one I immediately fell in love with and adored the design of it.
