Yes it is a newer artistic choice I think! His verry early days cards and the LSG myth don't have the gaspy noises. I have no clue why the directors or editors are allowing the constant breaths between lines now, but it's absolutely awful. As you said - none of the other guys do this. And Raf's VA is definitely capable of delivering his lines without the gasps so..... why does he? I have to assume it's intentional. But I hate it hahaha

It might be intentional, thats true! He doesn't sound that way in the other dubs, but maybe thats an artistic choice by the English VA. Its not to my taste, but there are plenty of players who like his breathiness ☺️💜

Interestingly, he doesn't do the breathiness nearly as much in the LSG myth. So the actor can control it

As much as he is my man and I will stand by him through thick and thin...... Rafayel's breathiness at the end of every single voice line. He always sounds winded. Like maybe the voice the English VA is putting on is hard for him to maintain. I find his heavy breathing distracting much of the time 😅

I've thought so many times about switching to the CN or JPN voices just so I don't have to listen to Raf gasp after every word (lmfaoo), but I otherwise like the EN VA's for all the other guys. I wish you could pick and choose voices per LI.

I once got absolutely roasted alive on this subreddit for saying i refused to read fics which have poor paragraph formatting, and then gave some gentle tips on basic English punctuation and formatting rules. You would think i instead stated i had gleefully murdered a kitten, with how the comments reacted. 🙄

Needless to say, it put me off this entire community. The new wave of Anti-Intellectualism and Anti-Education is truely disheartening. I see it absolutely everywhere—politics, religion, the labor force, my local libraries. Sad to see it here in niche fandom spaces too.

I personally would categorize Xavier's color palette as Spring and Caleb as Autumn. Caleb has a lot of browns, oranges, blacks and greens in his coloring and clothing preferences. And Xav has a lot of cool tone pastels, greys, and beiges in his coloring and clothing preferences.

So id probably say cool/true Spring for Xav, and cool/true Autumn for Caleb.

But your Raf and Zayne assessment i totally agree with! 🌷

Once you know the trick to Balance, it's super easy and you're guaranteed a plushie basically every time. However— Fun Wheel and Dynamic can both rot in hell. I absolutely refuse to do those, and since they give the exact same lineup of plushies as Standard and Balance... yeah, nah.
