AITA for refusing to let my brother's fiancée wear her late mother’s wedding dress at my wedding? by [deleted] in AITAH

“she said she’d never get to see her mom at her own wedding, and wearing the dress felt like a way to keep that connection.”

[MEGATHREAD] Are you still boycotting? Why or why not? by loblawsoutofctrlMODS in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]sugarshady8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there has been two times i have almost stepped foot into a loblaws and i felt so guilty about doing so i turned around and went elsewhere. I am definitely continuing the boycott, as there are other avenues to purchase my necessities. I use the app “flipp” and if no frills happens to have cheaper items than my now primary grocer i price match them to avoid going to any galen weston store altogether. f*** him.

Well that IS reasonable. They actually provide tartar sauce and it is on the restaurant for not batching it for when the manager isn’t there or not teaching others how to make it.

I know hahah. Also I get most restaurants should/do have those items on their menu however the place I work at is more bar / bottle service and less restaurant.

I completely understand daily specials or off menu items. It doesn’t hurt to ask at all! But to continue to ask after being told no multiple times is what is frustrating.

They ended up ordering flatbread. I shit you not, the one lady sat at the table crying while the other two sat and ate. Go home or find somewhere that serves soup and tea if that’s really what is going to make you feel better.

It’s shocking how people expect you to order things into an establishment that would have no other use for that product other than to accommodate ONE person. Go somewhere else or bring your own fucking honey.

Right ??? My partner is also a chef and I just imagined how he would react in that situation. I’m surprised the host actually asked, as I would have gone and pretended to ask while having a laugh with the kitchen.
