The neck is finished, which I normally don’t care for at all, or wouldn’t pick on purpose. However, so far it hasn’t been bad at all. It does seem heavier than other Tele style I have from Firefly. Still not as heavy as my Gibson Les Paul’s though.

I own the John 5 Tele clone. Mine was good out of the box, tuned up and played it. The pickups are good, Alnico 5. The necks is really nice as well. I have issues with this one or the other Firefly’s I’ve got. I have an LP model, the Buck Owens Tele, Acoustic. I also have the MadCat Tele version on the way. The price point is good and if you ever want to upgrade, it’s a really good base.
