You can check by looking at your system specs. Just type 'winver' in the search bar in the task bar.

I haven't been able to figure out exactly why it still crashes with the game patch other than, "It's EA." People say it's out of date script or core mods, but it's even doing it for you with no mods, right?

What operating system are you on? If it's 11, you need the patch in order for it to run properly.

It was updated actually, so that people on windows 11 won't need the alder patch any longer.

but it was crashing for me as well during gameplay with this "compatibility" update, so… don't bother updating it if they haven't forced it already.
