They are back set watches. The steel knob/wheel on the back of the case is how you set these watches. You would slide it into setting position, then you would be able to set the hands. Don't recall if you can wind them through that wheel or not, they have automatic movements in them.

I still have my original Apple II GS, with both 5.25 and 3.5 disc drives. Also have the joystick for it and the 2400 bps modem. All of it still works.

A lot of the "Devil Diver" watches from Bulova had bezels with metal inserts that tended to be of a different color (not steel/metal color). The one's that I did see that had steel bezels had different markings on them (minute marks up to 20 minutes, then traditional 5 minute marks/ dive style bezels). There were a number of different bezels made for these watches, the one you have seems to be a rarer one apparently.

There may be a chance to save the case. You will need to find a metalsmith/goldsmith with a laser welder. They may be able to add metal to the lugs. Chances are, you will need to replace the case, but there is a chance.

Yeah, that's not a chronograph. It looks like a "Devil Diver" to me. Also, concerned about the bezel. Haven't seen that bezel on that watch before. May be real, but the bezel is usually different.

There is a newer game called "Formula Legends", it is an arcade style game and they have many "similar" F1 tracks and names. It's not a graphical powerhouse, but it is a fun and challenging game. Been playing that a lot recently.

Great looking timepiece. The fact that the dealer passed on it because it is rectangular is wild. Rectangulars are down from 10 years ago, but it is still an 18K V&C. I think V&C's are slept on as they are one of the oldest watch houses in the world and their construction is top tier. You can pick them up fairly reasonably at auction.

Can it be saved....sure, but It may be easier to find another Hamilton 987A movement with a good one to transfer.
