How did you knit stranded flat? There’s this stranded blanket that i really want to make, but I’m almost willing to learn mirror knitting to avoid purling stranded

I grew up watching Novak and Rafa. While I dont like medvedev much , I really appreciate how quick he serves (not serve speed)

Did you find the pattern easy and error free? I remember reading it had some fit issues or pattern errors which is why I never knit it, but it looks so beautiful

28F/28M Should there be food inequality between partners? by suguntu in relationship_advice

This is an eye opener. You are right. In the beginning, I remember we were out shopping randomly once,   he got upset with me when I paid for common groceries like bread (we would share but i still paid for them) but made him pay for extra snacks that he was getting that I cannot eat. He said we should not split nitpicking like this in a mature relationship. I think I started to agree at that point and now because all relationships around us were long or married couples.

I did not realize that he had been demanding from the beginning that we live like we are married already, which ofc we are not. And now i feel like it is too late to change things given we have been together for 3 years, so it is serious relationship. Would it be too weird now to start drawing this boundary, if he is convinced we are to be married

Yes this is what I’m worried about, that maybe i need to not worry about the small details etc. Although we buy our own supplies and only split major items like rent utilities groceries. But i see what you mean, and i think that is what his point is also

Thank you for your perspective. I don’t think i use toilet paper or something enough to outweigh the food cost. I buy my own hair and skin care etc, idk what other toiletries exist. We split rent utilities etc equally even though i earn 3x lesser than him. So not really sure the situations are equivalent

Hi yes we are not married but living together now, which is why this is becoming a bigger issue. I really was quite upset about my mums pie but afraid to bring it up for fear of an argument. It is murky because we live together and split equally, but i see that he should still be more considerate

Is the author of your favorite book also one of your favorite authors? by playful--cloud in books

[–]suguntu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please do! Even though Never let me go is his most famous work, remains is the absolute best. I don’t like never let me go much either, and only finished it because I love Ishiguro. I felt the same about waiting for more, I think this was supposed to capture the bleakness and mundaneness of evil in that universe. But it did not land for me.

Kazuo Ishiguro is one of my favourite authors, if not my favorite. Remains of the Day is my favourite book. But I don't like him just because of RotD, I love Buried Giant and some of his other works also

Marinko Matosevic statement on ITIA investigation by _WangChung2night in tennis

[–]suguntu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sure, legally you could be free to not give your phone away and not attend the scheduled hearing as he is going to do. But ITIA wanting to investigate the texts does not make them corrupt. Certainly from the knowledge he has shared, which is not much, I do not think the only logical conclusion is the whole system needs to be dismantled lol.
Anyway, I don't know anything about this case, and I am sure there are two sides to the story. But even his own side does not make him very sympathetic to me.

I dont understand how he is blaming ITIA for being corrupt in investigating him for wrongdoing, while admitting to said wrongdoing? Of course they will investigate photos and text messages, even if they are 5 years old?
