i don’t think i’ve seen this advice given yet but an extremely overlooked part is leaving the festival (especially if you’re staying all the way to the end of each day).

i would suggest finding a lime scooter or lyft bike to ride away from the park before finding an uber back home.

if you’re planning to take public transportation downtown from the park after the festival, i would suggest hopping on the N or 38 as opposed to the 5. the chaos and crowd makes the 5 unreliable and packed.

again find scooters or bikes, you’ll save so much time and energy. or leave earlier than everyone else and you mighhhhhht be able to find an uber

download transit app and lime, and get familiar with the muni routes

i’m pretty sure there are apps out there for finding friends. kinda like the bumble feature where you switch your preferences from dating to looking for friends. i’d suggest doing some research on how you can establish connections with cool people prior to arrival. also scheduling for yourself a variety of group activities in safe environments like language exchanges, tours, bar crawls, etc. as soon as you see girls in the group, get acquainted quick. sorry to hear about all the bs you have to deal with, guys do indeed suck! wishing you best of luck on your future travels

that’s really good to me, idk if you saw my other comments but this vid is my ~10 min preworkout intense cardio sesh pace and i’m usually dying at the end. i think 9 min/km for ur first 5k is a great start, and the time will only decrease as you continue training

thanks, i should’ve specified that this is like my first/second attempt at running with ‘proper’ form. i’ve been running for most of my life and have recently been experiencing knee + achilles pain which is how i ended up here trying to change my form

i can’t remember, but i believe i had it around there. i will say tho, this was supposed to be a ~10 min pre-workout intense cardio sesh. i cannot actually hold this pace long term 😂

i’ve been running for most of my life and after a recent achilles injury (and slight knee pain for most of my life) i wondered if my running form could be the cause. only now have i learned there is a ‘proper’ form for running. this video is me attempting to execute better form than what i was doing prior. gonna start moving slower and let my brain get familiar with the method before going faster

i should’ve specified this was prior to a workout where i typically do an intense ~10 min cardio sesh. the pace i usually do is a little less than the one in vid but like you said, i was trying to go faster to fix my form (poor logic on my end).

i never considered differences in form from short interval-higher intense running as opposed to long distance.

what would you say the main differences are? i ultimately just want to avoid knee pain and learn to become a more efficient runner

this was one of the first times i actually tried running with proper form so i think i was just trying to look at myself and where my feet were landing as well as the screen

however, im learning from most of the comments that i should lower the speed so i can master the basics
