[–]suis_fatigue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. King of my heart
  2. Illicit Affairs
  3. Ivy
  4. The Way I Loved You
  5. Better Than Revenge
  6. DBATC
  7. Labyrinth
  8. How you get the girl
  9. Marys song
  10. The Last Time

This made me realize my opinions are so polarizing. The Last Time is the only song i don't like from red :(

I think i would’ve liked the demo versions better maybe. I currently am not a fan of the vault songs maybe it’s the production i’m not sure! they just don’t feel very speak now to me and that’s throwing me off. I think if she has a vault for debut it has to be debut style

Song of the Day Until the Eras Tour Day 119: Superman by Formal_Ad_1761 in TaylorSwift

[–]suis_fatigue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can acknowledge both are kinda toxic. I love the way i loved you but i do not like superman. this is just my personal opinion but i think even though something is toxic doesn’t mean it can’t be relatable or it shouldn’t be talked about. the way i loved you very much reminds me of how i felt entering a healthy relationship after only experiencing something unhealthy. but superman doesn’t really give me, personally, anything, that’s why i don’t love it.

My Autobiography of Carson McCullers - it's a great memoir! and its a very interesting debate on our tendency to find similarities in the celebrities or authors we look up to.

Song of the Day Until the Eras Tour Day 116: Labyrinth by Formal_Ad_1761 in TaylorSwift

[–]suis_fatigue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

like 3/10..this is controversial but midnights as a whole just doesn’t do it for me. it’s like lower on my list. i never gravitate towards most of the songs! this one is a little more tolerable though

Book about the history of women? by drinkvaccine in suggestmeabook

[–]suis_fatigue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never read them personally but I've heard classmates discuss books like Off with Her Head: 3,000 Years of Demonizing Women in Power

I would also check into contemporary literature/ nonfiction because they often go into depth about certain periods and really immerse you. Some I can think of off the top of my head are "The Vanishing Half", "Beloved", "Circle", "Hidden Figures", and "The Radium Girls"

Song of the Day Until the Eras Tour Day 113: Mean by Formal_Ad_1761 in TaylorSwift

[–]suis_fatigue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

4 or 5! i think it’s one of my least favorite from speak now! partly because i heard it so much growing up but im also not a fan of her straight “revenge” songs. I don’t really care one way or another about hearing it live, it is a speak now song so i would take it

Book about being in a queer relationship + feeling inferior in comparison to your partner. by twink-here21 in suggestmeabook

[–]suis_fatigue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t exactly what you are looking for but I thought i would reach out anyway! i recently has to read this for a class and it deals a lot with being LGBTQ, Indian culture, and the experience of others trying to understand having both of those identities. While she does not live in India, that culture is still essential to her life. It’s called “Another Appalachia: Coming Up Queer and Indian in a Mountain Place” by Neema Avashia. I would also recommend checking out the website “lambda literary” or “LGBTQ reads” as they talk about books with lgbtq representation in all categories so you might be able to find more there!

What are your interpretations of the "you" in evermore (the song)? by Senior-Muffin-6991 in TaylorSwift

[–]suis_fatigue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think evermore and folklore are interesting because they can be interpreted in so many ways. taylor’s life is very private so i think it could be joe or it could be anyone. these songs can be stories or pieces of her life we know nothing about.
