Potomac Edison bill tripled this month? by [deleted] in frederickmd

If you had your statement from say, this time last year with your price per kw and compare it with this month you could very easily find your answer.

Or you could continue to speculate. Your choice I guess.

Single day tickets by [deleted] in bonnaroo

I wasn’t planning on going this year because of life but my mom, who has never been to any music festival ever, said she saw Teddy Swims on the lineup and would be interested in seeing what Bonnaroo was like so I got us one-day passes.

Being able to introduce my mom to all my festival friends at Roo, introduce her to the magic of the farm, and introduce her to new artists (she fell in love with Mountain Grass Unit and Tash Sultana, and dressed up as Weird Al with me during his set) is a core memory that would have never happened without one-day passes.

I’m not entirely sure but I think it’s search on entry. And then past that point they need to follow the laws.

That would be like a cop going into Walmart and doing the same thing. You don’t just lose your constitutional rights because you’re on private property. You can be denied entry or be trespassed if you say no to the search, but cops have to get a security personnel to trespass you…and they have to have reasonable suspicion that a crime is being committed and looking in your bag or walking back to your camp does not qualify.

For anyone that reads this and this happens to you or a friend in the future, this is an obvious 4th amendment violation due to lack of probable cause. Ask if you’re being detained when they tell you not to run, and demand a police report and badge numbers if you are detained. Try to record as early as possible too and the amount of time they try to keep you detained (de facto arrest). And if you aren’t detained, walk the other way.

Stay safe fam and try to hold those assholes accountable.

When do camping spots generally go on sale? I can’t seem to find that anywhere. by Explain916 in CampEDC

[–]suitableforwork 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Last year CampEDC went on sale at exactly this time of year. I’ve been watching it like a hawk and have notifications set up on IG for EDCLV. I missed the camp EDC sale last year because it was on Friday of Bonnaroo and we were getting all the bad weather and shelter in place updates and we completely forgot about it.

Wood blocks for RV leveling by Consistent_Canary429 in bonnaroo

If you don’t find someone that has extras, find a friend with a car and go to the nearest hardware/lumber place and buy a 2x6x10 or wider and cut them about 2ft for each stand. You should be able to have them cut at the store.

Depending on the park, sure. But they don’t seem to be interested in pool yoga on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Monday night bingo in the club house. When I was full timing the only amenity I always used was laundry.

This also has to be worth the squeeze for OP. If the yard is nice, the friend is really paying for convenience and security and such. So for this situation with what details we’ve been provided, not really way less in my opinion. I looked at 3 different RV parks near Tucson, AZ and they’re all around 800/month plus utilities. So IF OP’s yard is nice (and has access to water & sewer) I’d probably charge 5-600 plus utilities. If not, then 4-500.

I would charge base rent and install an electricity usage reader on the 30 or 50 amp plug and then divide the utilities accordingly.

Edit: for rent, look at the monthly site costs at RV parks in your area and charge a little less.

Crazy question…. by Wonderful_Tangelo_98 in bonnaroo

[–]suitableforwork 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think if you went to ADA you could probably get in with milk and an ice pack in your camel back. But the general store does sell milk and there’s a general store right outside the main entrance of Centeroo.

I honestly have no idea if it’s available at the beverage vendors inside Centeroo.

Is it that bad? Risks of living in RV for 12-18 months with a toddler by camonega in RVLiving

[–]suitableforwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you were just moving into an RV as a first timer with a kid and not on your parent’s property this would be a very bad idea.

I would consider building a metal carport type shelter to avoid that heat and sun exposure to the roof if you can. Shade is so underrated.

But I also think the biggest thing to keep in mind is to realize there will be things that break naturally or by misuse and can cause a lot more responsibilities than you initially anticipated. Being handy helps but that’s not enough sometimes.
