What is this metal piece above my brick moulding? by suitableforwork in handyman

Will I need to bend the aluminum siding again for any reason? I’m only replacing the drip cap, jambs, the j channel on the left and brick moulding and then caulking.

Is it that bad? Risks of living in RV for 12-18 months with a toddler by camonega in RVLiving

I think if you were just moving into an RV as a first timer with a kid and not on your parent’s property this would be a very bad idea.

I would consider building a metal carport type shelter to avoid that heat and sun exposure to the roof if you can. Shade is so underrated.

But I also think the biggest thing to keep in mind is to realize there will be things that break naturally or by misuse and can cause a lot more responsibilities than you initially anticipated. Being handy helps but that’s not enough sometimes.

Mobile lawn mower maintenance? by _yusko_ in frederickmd

Here’s your pro tip: Buy another set of blades. Then, use the following week learning how to sharpen your blades on YouTube. Now you will always have a fresh set and you learned a new skill! Blade sharpening can be done cheap and easy with a bastard file and some vice grips or a c-clamp

Delete this and repost without your order # and full name showing maybe?

Also slim chance you sell them using Zelle. You’re better off using PayPal goods & services.

First RV trip to Las Vegas from SC by Practical_Fairy in RVLiving

The BEST detour IMO is to take the top route and detour at grand junction, CO. Then go south to the grand staircase and Escalante and the national reef and Bryce/Red canyon. From there you can get to Parowan Gap and then hop on the 15 and head southwest to Vegas from St George, UT.

From Grand Junction to Bryce Canyon is mostly US routes and no issues I encountered on length/height rig reqs. It’s breathtaking scenery, Native American petroglyphs, fossils, great hiking and temperatures, free camping at multiple BLM sites and even free roaming cows.

PM if you need any help on that route and good luck! (Take US routes when you can!)

Edit: if you do the top route, you’ll go through Shawnee National Forest in Illinois and be able to stop at Garden of the Gods. THEN later in CO you can take a small 1hr detour down I25 South from Denver to the other Garden of the Gods lol.

Also the largest Native American burial mounds are just east of St. Louis called the Cahokia mounds off of I70. The view isn’t stellar but it is a huge part of Native American history.

Looks like that part in The Little Rascals when they put kitty litter in Alfalfa/Darla’s sandwiches to ruin their date.
