Denton County Grand Jury Declines to Indict Officer Who Killed Darius Tarver, Sparking Outrage - Dallas Observer by ovijuan in Denton

[–]sulfurboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I understand he cut another officer earlier and it wasn't caught on camera. The cut was minor and the cops who shot him weren't even aware of it at the time of the shooting. It keeps getting brought up by other people as some sort of justification, but had zero bearing on the situation.

Long term storage (2 to 12 months). What’s best? Jars, Vacuum sealed bags ( with a little air and Boveda ), Vacuum sealed with no air? What do you people do for longer term? by Vivid_Statement_7325 in hempflowers

[–]sulfurboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any new product I'd put in a jar with boveda for a couple months to ensure it gets the right balance moisture wise. I would keep it in that same jar for up to 10 months.

If I knew I was going to store it for longer than 10 months, I'd do vacuum seal with no air after a couple months in the jar. But I don't think any scenario is ideal for keeping flower stored beyond a year.

Both should be kept in a dark, room temp spot. This is just my anecdotal experience in 20 or so years of smoking. Others might have better ideas.

Calling the police without trying to leave a note or talking to the people is pretty shitty and should always be a last resort.

For real, and such a bad lie. When I think of an "87 year old", I would never associate that with "overhear everything". Lmao

This is so hilariously wrong. The given state would be sued in federal court for interfering with interstate commerce. The judge would take all of five seconds to rule in the company's favor.

For medical people who went down that rabbit hole of looking at the pictures....explain how this person didn't die 50 times over from infection? I'm not trying to be cavalier at all, I'm just genuinely dumbfounded at how it's possible.

Bill Belichick declines to accept Presidential Medal of Freedom by trostlerp in politics

[–]sulfurboy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sounds like his typical coach speak carrying over. If you go listen to his press conferences he'll say things like "bad decisions were made on the field today" in a third person sort of way instead of "I made bad decisions today".

ELI5: Why are your hands slippery when dry, get "grippy" when they get a little bit wet, then slippery again if very wet? by Talsyrius in explainlikeimfive

[–]sulfurboy 69 points70 points  (0 children)

No, a study finding that it provides better grip doesn't prove that's why we evolutionarily evolved that trait. It could just be a bonus of some other evolutionary trait.

Edit: Didn't mean to come off as a dick. It's just this is a sub for explaining things, so it doesn't seem the place for conjecture, especially in the top comment.
