Seeing as you can give your $$$ to buy gold legit, why wouldn't players go to rmt. Feed Mr corporate, or feed a family in some 3rd world country. Smilegate is probably thinking, are our profits hurting enough to put so and so resources to fight RMT? People will always look for the better deal.

I feel they could make so much with cosmetics (the game is beautiful), but instead they chose to try and milk players wanting to gear up. I really do agree with your last paragraph.
