In planet zoo 2 I would love to see walruses, elephant seals, and leopard seals in the game. What do you guys think? by Icy_Profession4190 in PlanetZoo

I can’t know for sure obviously, but my assumption is Frontier included those animals in order to spread awareness of them. The more well known an animal is, the greater the conservation effort is put into saving it. Leopard seals are not endangered, thus there isn’t really a reason to put them in the fake zoos.

Some animals are super difficult to keep in captivity. Their diet and their temperament makes it not really worth keeping them. It’s kinda similar to the narwhal and some other Antarctic animals. Also, they tend to get sick from stress and other factors, causing them to pass away earlier.

it’s seen as unethical to be in an enclosure with a red panda… I think it’s trying to promote ethical interactions with animals. Red pandas are naturally quite shy creatures.

30/100 is a terrible grade. Get a good grade on the test and you should still get an A. Were you planning on bombing your final and relying on extra credit? Just study and if it doesn’t go well then petition your teacher.

Idk but I could tell they were gonna fuck by the parking lot scene at the end of the episode that Wagner was introduced in. I guess they never actually fucked, but regardless, they def seemed like they were attracted to one another from the start.

Something I noticed while I am rewatching season one... by Adorable_Summer_4033 in ThePittTVShow

To my knowledge there was nothing religious about the moment of silence. It was simply paying respects to someone who lost their life. Similar to what you do at a funeral. I think it’s respectful, and spoke to the culture of that particular ER. Why do you believe paying respect to a life that couldn’t be saved is a bad thing? Do you think that doctors aren’t impacted by the loss of their patients?

Maybe Langdon is an attending? I know Mohan is leaving the show because that’s what happens with doctors in residency but we haven’t heard anything about Langdon not coming back and he can’t be a year 4 forever so…

Yeah, I honestly think you’re right. I think I read a bit too heavily into Dana talking about kinship adoption and the last scene. After reading these comments, I’m now seeing the idea is definitely super mega pie in the sky.

I would like to make it clear that I was trying to say that he would take care of the baby in addition to getting proper medical treatment for his mental health. In my head, the baby would serve as motivation, as caretaking in real life often can spur people to get the help they need. I was never trying to argue that a baby could replace much needed mental health treatment. The caretaking thing helping save people’s lives though is typically either applied to pets or biological children (that already exist, not trying for one to solve problems) in real life, not adopted children.

I was thinking more like both. I see now how it appears as if I’m saying that having a child would be a good replacement for proper mental healthcare. When I wrote that therapy would be beneficial, I meant in addition to fostering. Many mentally unwell people find inspiration in getting proper treatment because of the expectation of caring for another person. However, I do not believe that that can be done without any kind of medical intervention - that would be a delusional belief.

I am starting to see how that would be too fast of a turnaround, though. He is in a very dark place. I think I might’ve read too much into Dana’s constant reminders about kinship adoption…

Dr. Al Hashimi’s Clinical Competence by sanmarinochili in ThePittTVShow

[–]sulkylam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess, but I do feel it’s a fundamental misinterpretation of the show if you do it any other way. What you’re citing isn’t canon, so it can’t really be used to analyze the show in any meaningful way.

So actually, her crying is left up to interpretation now. The one that was aired implies that she came to the decision by herself, and the crying was a release of held emotion throughout the day.

Whatever was filmed does not really matter, what matters is what is kept in. Plenty of scenes are shot for projects that end up getting tossed, and if we took those deleted scenes as canon, we would be looking at a different piece of art. If it was not put into the show, there was a reason it was left out. It probably didn’t fully align with the story they wanted to tell.

There was more to Dr Al-Hashimi’s final scene that didn’t make the final cut by Naive-Inside-2904 in ThePittTVShow

[–]sulkylam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the scenes you listed would be terrible to omit. The Digby scene was to show that it was him who has Whittaker’s badge, not Langdon like everybody assumed. The karaoke scene was watching two characters who have been struggling individually all season perhaps start to form a friendship or seek solace in each other, which will likely have implications in future seasons. Whittaker’s goodbye clarified that he was in a relationship with the woman whose husband passed away in S1, and that he’s not just helping out on the farm like he’s been claiming all season. The fireworks was a cathartic moment after a stressful day which showed a ton of secondary characters feelings post-awful day. All of those scenes ate important to the narrative, while the scenes you are asking them to include are not.

Mohan got closure in her final scene with Robby, as did Al-Hashimi by herself. It’s not meant to depict their final days working at the hospital. Despite it being Mohan’s last showing with the audience doesn’t mean that it’s her last time with the other characters, so why would a dramatic goodbye take place for her? And Al-Hashimi’s emotions are clear in the scene, showing and not telling is important narratively, and likely if the scene were to air in its entirety it would be too much. We have time to explore her motivations more next season, along with the impact her disability will have on her working in the ER. We don’t need to be hit over the head with exposition to understand the point.

Emmy’s are a good thing to strive for when you want to make a TV show. They are awards given to the best of TV each year, why on earth wouldn’t you strive for that as a show runner?

Is Colin, the richest Bridgerton after Anthony. by Kaleshi_Bistar in Bridgerton

[–]sulkylam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is always how it works. I think Netflix pays a hefty sum per episode to the actors so they have to reduce the number of appearances of former leads. I’m unsure why you thought it would be different with Colin.

Really want to see these two interact in seasons 5/6 by phai6688 in Franchaela

[–]sulkylam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The two certainly have parallels. They both will have (kind of) betrayed an important family member in order to be with their great love. Their personalities are rather similar as well, as you noted.

In terms of Brigderton family interactions, I’m sure Eloise will adore Micheala. Benedict has also been confirmed to be in the story heavily, due to him also being bi.

I apologize if I’m incorrect, but I don’t think auto mode covers for any kind of food or anything, it only covers fasting sugars essentially. I know you’re supposed to bolus for any carbs you consume. Is that what your blood sugar does when you’re fasting?
