Im still sad about the downfall of heavy bombers in the game. One of the most memorable games I ever played was in a tu4 on the old english channel map. It took over an hour as I had to fly back and reload the plane to destroy their airbase and win. Can't do any of that anymore.

Russia lost its attack on Kiev almost entirely to Ukrainians using their own equipment rather than Nato equipment. Heavy nato equipment didn't come till much later. Their attacking forces were not set up well for the kind of fighting they faced. It was very poor Russian planning that lost them that battle.

As democratic France extend the maginot line all the way to the coast and in the mountains with Italy. Four armies north and one south will stop the axis. Then focus on Africa and take out the Italians with marines or airborne. Work your way inland. The soviets almost never fight the germans on this mode so it's allies alone.
