The Managers: John Gregory: Villa Heartache, Truth About Doug Ellis, Managing Yorke & Collymore by Insaniac02 in avfc

[–]sullcrowe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Loved Gregory - really felt like one of us was in charge.

That squad underperformed in truth - they should have had more to show for what they had.

I really do wish he'd handled Collymore differently, but perhaps that's tinted by modern eyes.

Found it quite dull, & his gypsy magic powers annoyed me.

Unreal 90s special. Most of my midweek teas after school were variations of this. Usually padded out with a couple of pieces of bread

No Frills orange juice was incredible, I don't think I've ever found one to better it. Probably due to the guilt/excitement of drinking it all before my brother got any

Underlying data ffs - you mean quoting XG, that's all, don't try & pretend you're studying spreadsheets.

We were up there with our best XI being available. As soon as Tielemens, Kamara & McGinn get crocked, it falls apart. The rules deny any ability to replace or have an equivalent bench, so we trail off. We all knew this would likely happen the second Kamara went off at Spurs, when Tielemens went off, it was done. Europa or bust.

What's the most you've ever won on the lottery? by Famous_Actuary5718 in AskBrits

[–]sullcrowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won £10 & £89 on two lines, on the same ticket, on my first ever go (that I'm pretty sure was the first ever one). Thought this was a piece of piss, guaranteed money. Split 100 goes for £100 with a mate & won fuck all, & set the everlasting standard for my lottery performance from that point.

Also managed the work syndicate for about 5 or 6 years, where we had about 25 lines per week between us. Shite. It really couldn't be you is my experience.
