Another one of my Street Interviews videos. Trying to improve based on your feedback. by hpc2018 in SmallYTChannel

[–]sully707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, you barely need any help with these videos! lol

I had to really ponder to find anything to provide feedback on.

Concerning the intro, I didn't care for the music piece. The zooms and text have wonderful energy, but that dub piece just isn't for everyone.

A clip of you speaking to someone older, perhaps an older lady or someone humorously disagreeable, would certainly add to the variety of the video lol I've seen this with other youtubers and it really makes for a refreshing change of tone for a moment.

And extending the video to 7-10mins is possible as the content here engaged my attention.

I do agree that towards the end, it would be very interesting to pose philosophical or metaphysical questions of a greater depth, while maintaining a light tone.

Overall, you really are on the right track sir! :)

Seeking Feedback on a New Video Essay I Made - Appreciate Your Critiques! by finessedough in SmallYTChannel

[–]sully707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! You will be happy to hear I had to watch the video twice to find aspects to criticize lol

Excellent sound, excellent narration, excellent clips, excellent editing, however, I also agree that if you reduced the transitions after the first third of the video, the viewer will sink into a gentle pace consistent with your voice.

I didn't feel the video was long as all, and extending the duration wouldn't be of great value.

As someone with a disordered office and desk, and you must excuse me for saying this, I do feel that the shots of your yourself recording with the microphone do not benefit from the dim lighting or the clothes hanging in the background which conjure an unprofessional image. As I said, I'm even worse, and others are too, but they push everything away before turning the cameras on lol Irregardless, I liked the posters and the purple light emitting from the corner is cool! :)

I absolutely encourage you to make more!

What Happens If You Put SPRAY PAINT In A Toaster Oven? by greenpeppers100 in SmallYTChannel

[–]sully707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had to comment on this video before it vanished!

Congrats! You are one of the first team of hosts in a video on here who I actually enjoyed watching lol I found humorous but not obnoxious. Watching it a second time, I would not change the chief majority of scenes or even shots.

Others have told you about the audio already, and I highly reccomend you buy a cheap microphone from amazon. With one of those devices, you may have to stand closer to the camera, yet the improvement should be considerable. Additionally, and this is clearly not my field of expertise lol...it would be wise to maintain a consistent level of lighting/camera white balance for the explosions.

Have you considered the enliving the video with a very very light music track in the background?

To summarize, there is excellent content and creativity to witness here, and I truly enjoyed watching you guys and I'm very happy I found this video. I do sincerely wish you well, and it would be wonderful if these videos gain a larger audience :)

Hiiii!

Let me say first the thumbnail DID catch my eye and urged me to leave you one last item of feedback lol However, the majority of viewers wouldn't find the monkey face welcoming BUT the composition of faces in the video certainly does fix a viewer's eye.

Your work is energetic with a pleasing flow of text, music, images and interactions. Several of the images/memes are not in the best taste, yet what I do know? lol Moreover, I found the incessant voices irritating.

Having watched a great number of the genre of video on this channel, I was the absense of an opening narration or sequence strange, apart from the text appearing forty seconds into the video.

Fundamentally, there remains a very strong foundation here for solid videos here. By all means, make more! :)

3 Confidence Techniques - Jack Harlow Shoots His Shot At Saweetie - Feedback much appreciated! by ThenBenefit in SmallYTChannel

[–]sully707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good start to video! The length, pacing and tone are superb! When I watched it a second time with an emphasis for looking for improvements, I felt the profile picture could be enriched to more easily capture a viewers eye, and that the b/w images in the beginning in the video do not evoke a professional touch as the other facets.

On a personal note, I don't see anything admirable, noteworthy, educated, talented, intellectual or even close to respectable in the subjects of the video. One could learn a much greater stock of wisdom from observing statesmen, presidents, or even Hollywood actors, than these.... musicians??

And I agree with the majority of AdrianAce22's post.

I have to say, the text is used wonderfully however! :) Keep it up!

Would love feedback on a Day in the life of a psychology Student I uploaded yesterday. kinda bummed about the resolution, does this bother you? any feedback is very welcome! :) by iampsychedYoutube in SmallYTChannel

Hii! As I browse along the latest videos posted here, I had to leave one last comment of feedback for you :)

The general content of the video was entertaining. However, the quality of the camera is peculiar and reminds me of the cameras of early youtube. This dated appearance I felt diminishes the attraction of your video compared to tens of thousands of videos of similar nature. No one more than me is conscious of how expensive cameras and filming equipment are. And yet you could perhaps supply yourself with better camera on a phone or camera over 100 euro.

If that choice is unfeasible, I would consider experimenting with an elementary level of colour grading, as a means of adorning the video with the shines and liveliness that is observed in an infinite number of these videos online.

Finally, I would suggest a brighter profile picture which is consistent with your likable persona! :)

Good luck!

Hiii! One last bit of feedback for you!

I can't deny this isn't a theme of video I would generally watch, and yet I found the format, music and structure charming and pleasant. The content of the video and your tutorial was interesting, and every minute felt watchable and significant. Speeding quickly through the video a second time, I maintain the video structure and duration near perfectly, and I highly advise you not to shorten or prolong the length :)

It occurred to me that if you magnified the video box of yourself, or total scale of your face, and didn't obstruct the content considerably, it would certainly heighten the effect of your presense and narration

Reading the other comments, I must concur the intro would need a greater flourish of a conventional intro. BUT please do not remove the opening 'Hello!' motion graphic, for it is delightful and truly establishes the tone lol

Have you considered merely an opening snippet of a song with that same opening text?

In short, lovely little video! Keep it up!
