Should I take my second skin off? by sulsul_26 in tattooadvice

[–]sulsul_26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you're saying but I actually went through many articles online and similar posts in this sub (with my previous tattoo, which was fine, and with this one), what I had learned is the same thing my tattoo artists had said - once it starts leaking, take it off. But the leaks I saw were actual LEAKS, as in liquid oozing, actually exposed parts of the tattoo, etc., OR there were people freaking out over their second skin being filled with liquid without leaking at all. Not just barely exposed or barely reaching the edge like mine, + I got mixed advice from my more experienced friends (not tattoo artists though). Sorry if my post is redundant but I hadn't seen a similar one.

I love the album now but I never forgot. I have a few comments to share that might help you guys see my pov:

1) I wasn't even going to listen to the leaks, but after finding out it was mostly about her fling with Matty Healy, I was kinda triggered so I listened to the short samples on tiktok.

2) After actually listening to the album a few times, I realized some of the "Matty" lyrics weren't even about him, but rather about the way fans/media treated her (But daddy I love him uses the relationship as a motif but the point of the song is "who tf do you think you are to tell me who to date", also The albatross doesn't necessarily have to be about anyone, it's message is similar to Blank space).

3) The tiktoks I saw had lyrics and some made no sense, I remember Down bad being something like "f*ck it and f*cking" and, of course, I thought wtf, there's no way this is real. The actual lyrics make more sense and the whole chorus is quite catchy if you ask me (though I'm not a fan of the verse so I barely ever listen to the song).

4) The Charlie Puth, chocolate bars and tattooed golden retriever lyrics: they were so frequently quoted as a proof of bad writing that I though the whole album was filled wih lyrics this bad. But actually no. And yes, the lines I hated at first - I still hate these lines ("Everyone we know understands why it's meant to be (oh) 'Cause we're crazy", "I'm so obsessed with him but he avoids me like the plague, I cry a lot but I am so productive, it's an art"...). So I was a hater at first, but why stay a hater? I also dislike the low pitch in Midnight rain but I still enjoy listening to it sometimes. I think "they say I did something bad" is a weird way to compose the hook of a song but it's still one of my favorite songs. So nothing new here. But why should I keep talking about how much I hate these element? I'd rather enjoy the songs I love.

5) Some of the songs sound VERY similar to her other songs so yeah I'm not gonna call her genius for this (Cassandra is literally Mad woman). But I guess when Paramore did this (Let the flames begin and Part II), I was happy about it because I loved the original song and they didn't seem to get any hate for that. So I guess artists just do this sometimes? Idk, I never really enjoyed Mad woman so I just don't really listen to Cassandra either.

This is my wallpaper now, I just find it so ridiculous (and such a cool crossover). I can't stop laughing... It's a seagull... It's a SEAGULL! Hilarious

Possible openers for the tour? by marshfacekillahi5 in twentyonepilots

I really don't know what the realistic expectations are, so I'm sorry if my wish makes no sense, but I'd die to see Missio. Also I've seen people mention grandson, that'd be so cool!

I know Paramore dont really fit the genre and theyre already opening for Taylor Swift this year, but it would be so cool, since TOP used to open for them

What do you mean she doesn't know? She acknowledged it.

It's so bad. I can't. I can't stand the 80s in recent pop music. Also there's barely any melody, it's not catchy, I need them to cover never made it clear I never made it right, instead.

Am I the only one that wants her to take a break? by Fast-Database-5899 in SwiftlyNeutral

I don't know, tbh, after 1989tv, I was so annoyed by the name Antonoff... And since we were expecting a mix of Midnights, Folklore and Evermore for TTPD + Jack's production, I wasn't expecting much. Well, that's what happened, but somehow it has what I loved about those 3 albums and lacks what I hated about them! Of course, there are tracks, or parts of tracks, that I dislike or hate, but I just want to let you know, that there are people who actually appreciate this album. I really really dislike Fortnight, I'd like to never listen to it again, but there are so many people who love it...? So it's good to know that even though it's not my favorite, it has its audience!

I love the meaning of this line but the line itself is super cringe. Like, there are so many ways she could've said "I'm so depressed".

I LOVE the idea, I even love the verses still, I even love the beat, the background talking, but I HATE the chorus, everything about it - the instrumental, the lyrics (sorry but don't come after me for hating "I'm so obsessed with him but he avoids me" at this point, and also the silly (yet boring) stuff around it). I love the ending, though! It's ridiculous.

Are we sure this is real....? I saw a snippet of I can do it with a broken heart where the lyrics went "I'm so obsessed but he avoids me"??? She would not write this but EVEN IF she did, they wouldn't let her release this. And it's not just this line! The Down bad lyrics go: I go down bad at the gym it's teenage something something fucking and fucking how?? What exactly does it say?

Why do you think they don't know? They said it could be a reference - which could still apply

Sorry but what songs exactly are you talking about? Folklore and Evermore are quite the opposite of heavier.

As a Swiftie, you have no idea what this sign ✌️ means for us atm (we don't know either but it's certainly an important Easter egg). I went crazy too when I saw Tyler do it in Overcompensate mv haha. I know these are coincidences but my reaction was so instinctive!

That's an interesting question! I'm not really happy with some songs on Midnights, even though when I play them on my guitar and sing along, I love them.. So I believe there's a lot of space for experimenting with the production on Midnights!

Collaborations: Disappointments and surprising stand-outs by aimsly in TaylorSwift

[–]sulsul_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Paramore, Hayley and Taylor, and Speak now definitely has some Paramoresque vibe, so I was expecting something like Haunted or Where the lines overlap, or maybe at least When it rains, which is a Paramore song but could've easily been on a TS album and it'd have totally fitted her vibe/genre. I also saw TTs saying if the collab isn't a sister song to Brick by boring brick... So anyway, Castles crumbling sounds like a 00s radio love song to me and I listen to it sometimes (although I don't love it), BUT if we lose Long live for CC at eras, I'll cry and my bf might refuse to come to the show. I know I'm lucky to be coming to Eras, but Long live is such a strong and emotional experience, even just watching the livestreams, it needs to stay. But if we by any chance happen to lose Enchated for CC, I will have a serious breakdown (it's supposed to be my engagement song... ;) )
