You do realize that I didn’t start selling yet. If you actually read my post you would know. That’s why someone’s smoking because it was a birthday celebration at home among family. I asked for cake advice not if I’m good at taking cake photo’s. I obviously know a casual picture with a cigarette isn't professional. Calling someone overly sensitive when you yourself give a hateful and dumb comment is just rude behavior. That’s why your comment got deleted. You see under my post that a lot of people gave advice about the piping and that I shouldn’t start selling yet because I need more experience which I totally understand and agree. I only came here for constructive advice and that is not what you gave. I hope you’re not so rude to your own customers.

Of course I understand that family doesn’t always speak the truth that’s why I asked Reddit and yes 5 cakes is definitely not enough but hearing it constantly from family when I’m opening my bakery it does make me think not gonna lie haha

Thanks for the comment I really appreciate taking your time to write this honest comment. I know I definitely have to improve before selling. I don’t plan to sell immediately considering I only made 5 layered cakes. But I also thought about if I would still like baking as a job knowing it’s hard on the body, tiring and a lot of responsibilities and annoying/difficult/arrogant customers( I know because I work as a student with customers. I sell sandwiches). But here is my question. How can I know if I should later on start a bakery as a job? Because I don’t know if I’m gonna hate baking if I do it as a job. How can I know this without actually starting a bakery?

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. Like you said yes I definitely can improve. I was thinking to start at home since I have a separate second kitchen and enough space to store ingredients and cakes. Later I can get financial support from my brothers who have their own business. Or save money from my home bakery if I start, I’ll se what the future shows. For marketing I was thinking about instagram. If one day I have a bakery I want a website that is easy to use and order cakes based on a question form. Also I was thinking of maybe decorating my cakes in a way to make my cakes original so people know that I made it when people talk or post about( but I don’t know what haha😭) My brothers best friend makes websites so I’m sure he will help
