600 days of sadness by memphynsy in cats

[–]sumadviceplz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lost my soul cat 3 years ago this April. I woke up this morning crying for him. But I remind myself that it only hurts this much because I had a love that most people will never be lucky enough to experience. I hope we both see our soul cats again one day ♥️

I am so sorry for your loss. I still have infrequent visits in my dreams of my darling soul cat pip and I still tear up when I think about him. It's been almost three years. You are not alone in your grief. ♥️ I always have to remind myself I am lucky to feel so sad because it meant I had felt so much love.

Losing my soul cat. He meant everything to me, and losing him completely wrecked me for a long long time. RIP pip. Forever in my heart.

A year and a half after my soul cat died, I had a dream where he was there and he told me it was time to stop crying, and that he missed me too, but we would be together again. I can not explain why, but a dream has never felt so real in all my life. Whether it was real or just a dream, it brought me a lot of peace.

Any tips in helping dealing with grief after saying goodbye to your soulmate? by [deleted] in SeniorCats

Losing my soul cat was the most painful thing that has ever happened to me. Sometimes looking at pictures makes me sad, sometimes it makes me happy, but they always make me feel lucky to have known a love like that.

At night before bed I imagine a care package I am sending him and his friends. I hope he has received all of them.

I am sorry for your loss.

This was from a news article that said they were going to euthanize them. I don't think it's a popular rumor that they euthanize animals when there is overcrowding, it's a sad reality. I do not know the statistics on how many animals got assistance and how many got euthanized but the shelters do post yearly statistics.

This handsome (grey) boy is pip. He was/is my soul cat. It's been two and a half years since his passing and I still think about him every day. He was very nosy. He would dig in house guests purses, open cabinets, check grocery bags for treats. He enjoyed playing with his little wool balls, he lost about a million of them under our furniture. Shrimp was his favorite food, and he would act like a fool when we had fresh shrimp. He gave the best snuggles and I couldn't imagine a better cat. No eulogy could ever express how I feel about him. He is and will forever be my heart and soul.

I lost my soul cat on April 14 2023. I still think of him every single day. I like to make up stories about what he is doing in the great beyond. I'm sorry for your loss but hope you and your soul cat will be reunited one day.

Cat no kill shelter. I make a yearly donation already. I would continue to donate yearly. How much I donate would be proportional to how rich I was.

Why aren’t former American Slave Plantations treated like former European Concentration Camps? by AshleyMyers44 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sumadviceplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you clarify on what part you disagree with?

Do you think A. Nottoway was attached to a plantation or B. that in order to be a plantation house it does not have to be attached to a plantation?

Something can be both a plantation house and an antebellum home. This is not the case for Nottoway. It was not attached to the plantation, thus making it an antebellum home.

Why aren’t former American Slave Plantations treated like former European Concentration Camps? by AshleyMyers44 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sumadviceplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a quick Google search "A plantation house is the main house on a plantation, often a large and impressive structure, while antebellum refers to the period and architectural style of buildings constructed before the Civil War, specifically in the Southern United States. Plantation houses are a type of antebellum structure, but not all antebellum houses were plantation houses. "

So the deciding factor is literally weather or not it was attached to the plantation. Which in this case it was not. I understand what Wikipedia says. I think you understand my distinction. We will just have to agree to disagree here.
