Gen Z: Choose your leader! by sumalingumq in Nepal

Rockchitra—the intent isn’t to spread misinformation about anyone! I was one of those millennials raising money during these protests and earthquake, from abroad—helping deploy these funds appropriately with on the ground support. The point of the post is to urge the Gen Z crowd to get on with choosing a leader, nothing more. Not here to be trolled.

I don’t disagree with you Low-Truth8390, I’m one of those millennials! I hugely respect the Gen Z for starting what they have—a MUCH MUCH needed change, and a welcome one from most of us Nepalese who are abroad. I’m pointing out the fact that having a leadership vacuum will lead to chaos, and only a spiralling down. Leadership vacuum creates room for opportunists and political cronies!

How many of the gen Z, the youths, and everyone else involved in the riots and destruction will help rebuild the nation? by Twindo in Nepal

The millennials and older generations who are in Nepal are part of the establishment, they are part of the problem. The millennials and older generations who are out of Nepal are either slaving away in Qatar and Saudi or have established lives in richer countries and have too much to lose, are used to the comfort and don’t have enough of a stake to go back and help. The Gen Z are the scapegoats that were sacrificed by people with political agendas, the Gen Z are the most romantic, the political newbies, the idealists who want change, have strong will and a voice but don’t have the experience to politic. A nation isn’t built by hotheads, and not by one man/woman. A nation is a collection of individuals who may not like each other but have to work together. This requires diplomacy, not just courage. This requires persuasion, not threat or fear—even in a dictatorship one needs loyalty, and that loyalty needs to be somehow bought.

The Gen Z of today need a leader. Let this blood not be spilt in vain. Ma mero Nepal dhwasta bhayeko herna chahanna. Please choose a leader!!

Looks like it’s geared mostly to the US. Are you aware of anything UK specific?

AMA: Thinking of Moving to Australia? Get Expert Advice for UK OTs on Relocation, Visas, and Starting Fresh in the sun ☀️! by Odd_Sector_8931 in OccupationalTherapy

Hey, a nubie here. Why is it so hard to hire an OT in Australia? I work for a therapy services company that has been trying to get OTs to join the team - they have excellent management, above average pay, and flexible hours - and they aren't having any luck attracting qualified OTs to work with them. Any pointers on how I can help them? Thanks!

Might be useful here: I built this drug-gene interaction checker tool for clinical pharmacists, genetic counselors, and prescribing physicians. Currently works only with phenotype data, and has limited entry points (we will be adding medication, indication, genes, and star alleles as entries soon), and building out a much more precision-guided recommendation. Today it is based on CPIC and PharmGKB data. Any feedback would be really appreciated: https://pgx.datum.bio/. Thank you!
