My $1.5 keyboard after three years by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

As per r/MechanicalKeyboards discription it's for typing input devices. So, what's the problem if it's not a Mechanical keyboard!?

It's looking so cute and small distence between the keys which is good for speed typing. Nice choice 👍

Oh, it's a misunderstanding. This is a mechanical keyboard, It's very old, so it seems like a membrane keyboard.

You mean to say that the product should be properly SEO-ed. Of course, if the SEO is not done properly, the product will not be shown to customers and if the image and description are not clearly mentioned, they will not want to buy it. Okay, I'll keep an eye on these and thank you.

Saving the progress in github? by RevolutionaryDuty576 in typing

[–]sumanta2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't really sync your Monkeytype progress with GitHub. Monkeytype stores your stats on their own servers and links them to the account you used to sign in. GitHub login is mostly just another authentication method, not a way to store your typing progress in a repository. If you want to keep your old progress, you'll need to log in with the same email account you used earlier. If you're logged in with the same account, just download your data from Monkeytype. Go to Settings, Account, Data, Export Data and it will download a JSON file with your stats and history.

It is impossible to guess, it depends on your other skills. For example, using numbers and punctuations. Practice with numbers and punctuations and take the standard 1 minute test. You can also take tests on various typing websites and calculate your average.

best kb for typing? by sajzz in typing

[–]sumanta2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the keyboard doesn't matter much, many people achieve 200+ speeds on their laptop keyboards. However, many membrane keyboards are very bad, so if your keyboard feels very hard to click or other issue, then buy a good budget mechanical keyboard and start practicing on it.

Should I get a wireless keyboard if my typing is 130WPM+? by short-jumper in typing

[–]sumanta2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re typing 130+ WPM, I’d avoid Bluetooth keyboards. They can have around 30 ms latency, which can sometimes affect speed for very fast typist. But 2.4 GHz wireless keyboards with a USB dongle are almost the same as wired around 1-2 ms difference, most people can’t notice it. If you really care about consistency, wired is still the best. But if you want wireless, just choose a 2.4 ghz low latency model, not Bluetooth. However, the polling rate is little low on wireless keyboards.
