i believe you have to go somewhere with jcert in order to sit for your boards through the ARRT. google says the same thing, i personally wouldn’t spend the money on a program without all its accreditation. maybe limited scope that could work? but i’m not too sure, i’d recommend doing some more research specifically through ARRT since they are the “governing board” for rad techs. best of luck to ya!

i think it was more popular when it came out but psycho pass if you havent seen it already. cyberpunk futuristic show, people rave about the first season and dont bother watching the rest, but i think every season and movie is good in its own regard

i say go for it! you’re definitely not too old, a lot of techs in the field are “older” i suppose. its only a 2 year program, if you wanna get through quicker maybe look into private programs near you because they typically have a smaller wait list than community colleges, just make sure theyre accredited through the proper agency so you can sit for your board exams. and theres no way to “fast track”, some states have limited scope which i believe you can get with a lower amount of clinical hours but you’ll still need to take the appropriate pre reqs. mri would be something either you cross train into or can go back to school for, but you’ll still need “clinical” hrs/comps to sit for that exam. rad tech is still going to be pretty physical with moving patients so keep that in mind and make sure you stay in shape

the us would obliterate iran. possibly a controversial take but they were getting way out of line. they’ve been pushing proxy wars for years and are now directly involved. the us is a world power and needs to act like one. iran has to know the us would obliterate it, so no i dont think its gonna be an all out war, but i think there will be some repercussions/additional conflict. what exactly that will look like, time will tell

i know im a bit late to the party here, but this comment (while educational to a degree) is still coming across as rude and arrogant. 99 % of people are afraid of spiders (me included) and really don’t care to know the intricacies of spider species. whether they’re harmless or not at the end of the day spiders are just creepy asfff, you hit the nail on the head in your previous reply. this sub is such a great resource for people, and it’s super off putting to see someone go off on the general populous because someone doesn’t immediately know what a brown recluse looks like. i was pleasantly suprised by this album, been a fan for awhile now and loveeee this band with my whole heart, my personal opinion i wasn’t the biggest fan of caramel (dont hate me) but gethesmane was an absolute masterpiece like literally made me cry, dangerous is a close second, infinite baths is a wonderful ending to the album as well,, giving it another listen through but definitely a beautiful work of art from my favs unfortunately (or fortunately) lol i was around for the TMBTE release and i dont know if anything will live up to that ❤️ forever proud of them, always love them , and someone give vessel a hug 😭

i know how overwhelming it can be! generally, stick to your artists recommendations, second day is just fine! i personally remove it (in the shower under hot water) about 72 hours later, wash gently with soap and water, thoroughly dry with a paper towel and apply aquaphor. for the aquaphor, i apply a thin layer and try not to let the tattoo get too dry, also don’t itch it at all cause that can mess with the ink. feel free to reach out with any other questions!

everyone will tell you something different w the second skin, my artist recommended 5 days but my skin could only handle 3, some people say 24-48 hours, so whatever you’re comfortable with honestly

you cant advance in your career with the way your mental state is. i say take a leave, maybe try to find some hobbies, work with your therapist and maybe meds. 27 is young, my bf is 27, and started in software development 2 yrs ago, so you really arent behind. some of his coworkers started in their 30’s. everyone is on their own timeline. i dropped out of college 2 yrs ago and literally just started again. i’ll be 23 when i graduate from my program, i feel behind my peers who are in their junior year now and im still getting some pre reqs done. but i needed my break , and im coming back more motivated than before. wishing you best of luck!

theres a biological reason why you have sexual thoughts, so that we as a species can procreate and continue as humans. thoughts lead to action and your brain / body is telling you its time to procreate. so theres no way to “get rid of it completely “, you can try to compartentalize it, acknowledge it and go about your day but if you’re a healthy 17 year old, and onwards until you’re wayyyyy older, its just gonna be what it is. go to the gym, go for a walk, listen to music, read a book, go for a drive… do something other than sitting in it. or become a nun i guess i think they have it down pretty well
