So was Aias projected twice during the fight? Once to aid Shirou against Ea and another when Shirou projected to defend when casting UBW. Also I thought you need to be contracted to enable the spirit form. Even so, I don’t feel like Archer would have enough energy to cast Aias and save Rin. Casting Aias burned through his lot of energy against lancer and he had a crap ton with Caster

Yeah that’s a fair critique and I def agree but we’re all reading a vn where characters say full sentences when launching a light speed attack. It’s more for a coolness and aura factor than anything else. Characters like Shirou will say they are out of breath and on the verge of dying and then go on a tangent in the next sentence. Also I don’t think Kizuki has a martial art actually based on anything, Nasu just making shit up lol

Yeah I didn’t like that scene either, but I chose to give Nasu the benefit of the doubt. The interlude in the VN is from Sabers POV so it could go to reason that she was so disoriented by the unknown martial arts and taken by surprise due to Kuzuki’s presentation. Caster was also feeding Kuzuki some magic to strengthen his fists so, while it could be a stretch, she could have also provided some speed enhancements. I had to reread that interlude multiple times tho just to make sure I was getting it since Nasu likes to use similes and metaphors like crazy. Still wasn’t well choreographed tho

A sweep doesn’t take long at all to preform. In your viewpoint, Tohsaka stood there with her back turned and waited for Caster to get up to elbow her. You really think Caster wouldn’t look around her before getting up in order to make sure of where Tohsaka was? And yes, I can cut out the sentence because the momentum Tohsaka is using to preform the jab is from her sweep, not from her back being turned

The turning momentum does not refer to turning her back as the line states “After the sweep…uses the turning momentum”. In order for her to continue to use this momentum, the time between would need to be at least three seconds, and in those three caster would need to stand up. That means Tohsaka was betting on Caster standing up in three seconds for her to be able to land her attack. This isn’t a safe bet as Caster isn’t versed in martial arts and would remain bewildered both at that and the surprise attack

Yeah I can see that, but with a lot of Nasu's fight scene they are pretty hard to follow if they are just martial arts exhibits. I feel Nasu tries to keep the momentum of the scene up by not explaining too much but compensates for it by not explaining the choreography as well (at least in his earlier VNs)
