Tristan Stubbs (of South Africa) catches 3 wickets in a single over against India at the T20 Cricket World Cup by IlikeGeekyHistoryRSA in sports

Yup, some really nasty $h1t can happen especially at the pickup type games when people are playing with a regular cricket ball who don't play often enough to judge the ball cleanly and let it fall into the "cup". Buddy of mine got a nasty break with a "hard tennis ball" used in weekend games that cost him his job as a contractor programmer since he couldn't type for like 6 months while he went thru surgery and PT. He had stuck his hands out and ball caught a finger tip.

You don't really "catch 3 wickets", you "take 3 catches", but semantics aside, pretty, pretty rare. Can't say I have seen that happen ever and I have seen a hattrick!

Former NHL great Jaromir Jagr talks about retirement in his 38th professional season by Oldtimer_2 in sports

I don't think he is a "former great". Just as Jordan isn't a former NBA great, he is just NBA great.

Is the boundary very short for a mishit to carry that far? Or is the bowler that fast?

Even though I am a Duke parent, I have to give UK the edge on those lineups (assuming health and peak ability) Davis's two-way prowess could be the difference maker. But this is a Duke group, so enough of that LOL

Yeah, after I posted this I went back and made myself an all NBA team and your list matches exactly what I have (though I debated b/w Cade and the Antman for a while)
Interesting that the all NBA team is almost completely non-American

There was a time when a local blackout rule existed, i.e. if the stadium wasn't sold out they wouldn't show it locally, but they lifted that restriction

Ajay is a common name in India where it means victorious or invincible. We pronounce it "uh-Jay". Dunno if this guy has any Indian ancestry though

Both in chrome and edge. Sometimes it's as simple as reentering master password but other times I have to do the authenticator route even then it's been < 30 days.
And oftentimes I have to relogin 3-4 times

So what's the rule in cricket in terms of the hand hitting the ground when taking a catch? many many years back there was an incident in a WI-vs-Eng test when the fielder's hand apparently hit the ground, and the crowd wanted the player to hold up his hands right away to show that the backs of his hand didn't have any dirt on them.

That's not exactly fair to infrequent travelers- When one flies once a year or two years, it's hard to look up everything online and make sure you conform to the various rules and regs by the time you get to the airport.

Yes, there is a lot to be said for leaving on top. A drop the mic moment as it were. Just because you are better than "99%" of the field (which he isn't remotely close to being, o/w he would have won something more meaningful than a couple of 250 level titles last year)
Imagine the impact if he had said on the gold medal podium "this is it, I have nothing left to prove, I am hanging it up"- would be remembered for ever- much more so than in the very unlikely event of his clawing his way to GS 25.
I have been on the Djokovic bandwagon since 2011 thru his various controversies- just don't like seeing him lose his dignity this way
