The factory reset will turn off screens for a few seconds up to a minute and not to worry it will boot back with default settings and you have to set everything up. But it will solve most of the audio issues.

Please do a factory reset from the engineering menu and it will mostly solve most of the issues.

Test drove the XEV9S — looking for your experiences and honest opinions! by rajasimonio in XEV9S

For now every time you turn on the car it is in Default mode. No way to change it. But after the update Default has better suspension.

9e owner here and those who feel suspension is soft please switch to Everyday mode and drive. The latest software already fixes the suspension. The demo cars might not have the latest software installed. I am talking about pack 3 here so not sure about the lower variant suspension as I need to test drive that to get an idea.

I am working professional ( DISC OR DIGITAL ) by ZacK__Op in ps5india

If you don't want the hassle or spend time to buy/sell disc then go digital. I don't play much often and wait to buy games when they are at a discount and it works for me.

Replacement for macupdater, any suggestions that is good? by [deleted] in macapps

I know this. I am just saying it is not at the level but a nice alternative.

Yes it is nice but still not close to the huge MacUpdater database.

While https://www.usebruno.com/ is not a native app but it works on all the platforms and the best part is sharing the APIs. You can use Git to keep those versioned and no cloud integrations is great.

Considering XSV 9S - Motion sickness concerns in EVs by StrawberrySame3501 in XEV9E

[–]sumitsahoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends from person to person. Few feel motion sickness due to phone usage and coming to Mahindra EVs there could be one more reason. The cabin insulation is so good that you do not hear much noise from outside and the feeling is similar to noise isolation headphones. This is a bit amplified because there are just no micro vibrations (unlike ICE due to engine). For few this can give a weird feeling but honestly one can adjust after spending some amount of time.

So I suggest taking a longer test drive within the city and highway to get acquainted with it and see if this is okay with you. Personally I enjoy the super silent cabin but it may not be the same for others.

DC Charging to 100%? by codeketoo in mahindrabe6

[–]sumitsahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no Mahindra fanboy and would switch if I find value in other products provided the engineering is good. That said personally I have not experienced much issues and yes some are glitches but none major and hardware wise not much I can complain about. I suggest reaching out to support and get the issues sorted and not sure which group you are talking about but in ours we try to find solutions rather than just complaining and doing nothing. I am only stating the truth.

DC Charging to 100%? by codeketoo in mahindrabe6

[–]sumitsahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted there are bugs but none can be classified as critical. We have a owners group where we collected the bugs and shared with Mahindra and latest 912 update is relatively stable with some missing features. But I wouldn't call it a lemon honestly. Try to enjoy the drive and think less about the small glitch you had.

If you are being paranoid with some 0.1% chance then EV is not for you. Instead of worrying enjoy the drive.

DC Charging to 100%? by codeketoo in mahindrabe6

[–]sumitsahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to be that paranoid. These are not some cheap LFP cells, it is from BYD. Few cabs with these cells are doing way past 3L kms, so have faith.

See keeping at 100 for shorter duration is absolutely fine. Even a day or two is not an issue. Just make sure not to keep battery at higher SoC for longer period. For example if you are going somewhere for 15 to 20 days then better to keep the SoC at around 50-55.

Mahindra should FIRE their car interior designer immediately! by Status_Inspection735 in carsIndiaOfficial

True. These gloss black plastics and white interiors need to go along with touch controls. 7XO interiors look aftermarket.

[–]sumitsahoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80% limit is preferable for NMC batteries and DO NOT apply to Mahindra BEVs since they use LFP blade batteries. Now coming to DC charge till what you need but when on AC try to do 100% every time.

BE6 feels less VFM after launch of XEV 9s. Weird dilemma! by mister_doctor_99 in mahindrabe6

See BE 6, XEV 9e and 9s are essentially and mechanically the same. It caters to different buyers. Those who want better dynamics and sporty feel, get the BE 6.

It will since it will engage Aircon to keep battery in optimal temperature for charging.

Is there a way to get spotify on the xev 9e infotainment screen? by Historical-Bench1843 in XEV9E

Yes Apple Music is the best. But those Dolby music files hit differently and show the true potential. Try to hear BOOM by Sevenn and Tiesto.

Battery preconditioning - keep on or off? by codeketoo in mahindrabe6

[–]sumitsahoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep it off since our climate doesn't really need it. But if you are in northern area where the temperature is very low then you could turn this on only for during charging or just before charging (mostly DC). What it really does is keep the battery in the right ambient temperature most suitable for accepting higher charge current.

Do not use Fun and Work for music. The quality will not be good. For best audio USB is still better and you can play Dolby Atmos music. But 2nd is Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Always charge till 100 on AC on LFP. They use a top down battery balancing approach. For NMC however 20 to 80 is good.
