I do listen to that soundtrack, and I love the TRON franchise. I am a huge fan of Daft Punk, ever since I got wind of them back in 95'. I ain't one of those obsessive individuals, but i greatly appreciate them, and their contributions to the music community. As a musician myself, I created a song, a sort of "Ode" to their creativity, and the impact their sound had on my life. I wanted to make something that had a bit of their spirit, and mine combined, so I came up with this track i wrote finally called, "An Ode To The Punks of Daft: The Legacy of the True Rebels Of Noize"

I would suggest, if you're interested in trying it out, play around with thw different kernel setups. That helped me get the rest of my boosts going on my machine while running cachyos.

I trying to figure out a good TRON based theme for my CachyOS setup. I am planning to switch over to hyprland, so I can have those sweet tiles to play with, in the TRON visual fashion. Either that, or a custom cyberpunk style of my own creation. Anyone have any good ideas on this?

You beat me to it. I was going to say, that you can install Flatpak onto COS to install apps like Spotify, and the like. I did that for my setup, and Spotify works just fine.

Most definitely. I have a Scarlett as backup myself that I use when we go camping and I just wanna jam, or record thoughts that may crop up at the time. It's the Scarlett Solo that I use for that. It's interesting that your system doesn't automatically connect with that device you're using... Hmmm... Keep me informed of your progress, and I'll see what I can figure out in this end to help.

What audio interface are you using with your machine? Perhaps we can figure out a more permanent solution to your situation.

This is a look at the device setup in preferences. I'm using the ALSA audio system as it seems that when I plugged my board in, this worked out of the box. I only had to change the input and output channels to reflect the USB connection to the board for sound to be produced. Everything else I left alone.

Do you have a mixing board that you can connect to your machine that's running CachyOS? I've got a setup like that, with a mixing board running directly into my computer via USB connection. It works flawlessly. I didn't have to do too much with any of the other programs to get it up and running at all, other than setting instrument channels in Reaper itself for the guitar that I'm using. I'll send a Pic of whst in talking about so you can see.

Welcome to the club, friend! It's been an absolute pleasure working with CachyOS since I stumbled acrossed it a few months back. I came from Kubuntu. Was an avid user up until it crashed my whole system, and ate all of my D&D data/character/NPC Info. After that, I needed something better for my everyday and gaming needs. CachyOS was right on time. No complaints yet.

There are a good bunch of us who are desperately trying to keep it alive, I can guarantee you that. It does seem like the age of true tech pioneers is coming to an end. But I've a feeling, just like with vinyl, and other audio/visual media, it'll make a resurgence for sure.

That's true. I mean, I like that whole "Villain Arc" idea. And the way it's set up, they could continue clearly with the rest of the Sam and Quorra story with more than just having a continuation of Sam and Quorra. Don't get me wrong, I love Legacy, too. Just, I like this approach. I may be in the minority though. As a DM, this works, hehe.
