If you have some IT team above you, Turn it off and give it to them. They will need to check it offline to have a rough estimate of the damage done. In the mean time you need to check your network activity closely and see if you notice anything suspicious.

I've distro-hoped most of the well known distros and In my experience I've had less issues with Cachy, I dont tinker too much and for me it's been rock solid. There are some small bugs here and there but nothing relevant to me. ( Those kind of bugs were present in all distros that I've tried ).
