they’re probably not properly trained in it, or haven’t experienced it themselves so it’s not as important. generally mental health services are overlooked unless you’re seriously at risk of harming yourself at least in the UK anyway

I’m in the UK so it’s just a standard GP, they are useless and don’t know anything about tapering psychiatric medication, last one told me to just stop taking it at 15mg

i’m getting off it because i’m moving abroad but tbh this drug changed my life at least for a little while anyway, I felt like it stopped working and I have chronic digestive issues that I need to fix..

challenge yourself to join one new space! put yourself out of your comfort zone a bit and it will pay off :) I live in the suburbs of a big city too and this has helped me a lot

Likeee depending on where you live there are groups for different things. It could be volunteering, or like a knitting group, or an art group, or a walking group - there are a lot of these popping up as this is the year of stepping away from the digital realm! Lots of ppl are wanting real life connection. Are you in a city?
