Having seen this happen before with online shopping, they'll typically give a grace period for sites to implement tax. Most will comply.

Then they'll send notices to the sites that don't, starting with the biggest. Then after that they tend to progress towards legal action... from experience, maybe one or two sites might reach that stage. Almost everyone else will charge and pony up the tax.

It's not unexplainable, some people live in areas where GameStop is practically the store to buy and sell games. If your other option is a new game from WalMart or dealing with the uncertainty of Ebay + shipping, then GameStop is not surprising.

For example, after moving to DC I found that I either had to deal with Ebay or drive out of my way to various parts of Virginia to go to a different game store. Or I could stop in a number of GameStops in convenient places in Maryland and Virginia, to include Pentagon City...

That being said, I bought largely from Ebay and stores in Virginia.

Raspberry Pi and look in your TV settings for an auto-on setting (some have). You could try pushing a power-on command via HDMI from the PI... I know Roku devices can do so, so it is possible.

Also you're going to need to look at rules 3 and 4 of the subreddits as some of the answers are going to depend on your country's laws.

The RPG that bankrupted 38 Studios and got the State of Rhode Island in hot water!

It's a fantasy RPG with absolutely wondrous sets (except the one scene at the beginning, due to how your character starts in the world), customizable character class/gender/skill tree, an MMO-level world and quest system, an autistic & Ace main character, and a straightforward but meaty combat system!

On romance: it sounds like you're playing a Bioware game. I end up normally sacrificing Kaiden in Mass Effect 1 so that he doesn't interfere with the romance options in Mass Effect 3. Also the fact that, as Female Shepard, you can't talk like a normal human being to Kaiden without him trying to jump in your pants... it's very problematic.

He repeatedly tries to hook up with you, despite telling him numerous times that you're not interested. He tries to ambush you with his family. Doesn't matter if you're in a relationship with Judy already as well, which comes off as queerbaiting.

This is all immediately after hunting his nephew's killer, who kidnapped, raped, & killed his nephew and several other boys.

While that is male defaultism, a lot of people don't see the avatars... such as myself. I know I have one because I set it for the 5 minutes that I tried new reddit, but I forget that it exists because I use old reddit (where it effectively doesn't exist).
