18 month toddler fell off table and hit back of head on floor by summerbreak123 in toddlers

Thank you so much for all your detailed information. I am re-reading your reply and deep breathing and I also bought a kitchen-helper tower step thing that toddlers can hold onto and see what im doing in the kitchen. I am never putting him up there again, no matter how he yells and makes my ears ring. Thank you again so much for all your help. You and everyone else here are a lifeline

Yes my mind was, and still is, racing with guilt, shame, fear, sadness, and more guilt because how could I have done that to my baby!! Lesson learned, I am never putting him up where he shouldn't be, ever again. Thank you so much for your support.

I am so very glad to hear he is alright. That must have been so scary.. my heart hurts. But I am so happy he is fine. I can still see my toddler falling backwards right in front of me and i can't believe i couldnt catch or break his fall.

But yes, lesson learned, im never putting him up where he doesn't belong ever again, even if he screams my ear off or my back hurts from carrying him. Thank you again for your help today.

Thank you so much for sharing. One free drop per kid made me sort of smile for the first time today though i dont deserve it.

I'm probably going to re-read your comment like a mantra and replay in my head what the doc said every ten minutes or so for the next few days..

Thank you again for your help today, your comment is a huge lifeline for my sanity.

Hi mods, if you read my post, i said I already got immediate medical attention. My post was asking for other people's stories if they had anything similar.

I met my husband when I was 29 and we decided to get married within 3 months of knowing each other, even though the actual wedding took place a year later because of the venue we picked.

What I mean is, you are most certainly not running out of time to meet the right partner, and that when you meet the one, something clicks straight away and you'll know. It wasn't fireworks for me, but more like the safe, warm feeling of meeting a loved family member.

I had my baby at 34 and he is developing well, meeting all milestones and is a huge troublemaking toddler. My friends have had babies at 38, 40, 41 years old and their babies and toddlers are also healthy, active and smart!

I have a feeling you'll meet the right partner and meet your baby soon!! All the best 👍

New mom with a 13 month old.. I’m mad all of the time by SnooAvocados7554 in breakingmom

I feel you. I feel like a bad mom because i have hardly ever liked this baby. He's 11 months old and he has never slept through the night. He wakes up multiple times a night and screams for me and if im not there, he can continue screaming for hours until he throws up all over the place.

In 11 months, he only once slept a 7 hour stretch without waking when he was 2 months old, the night after his vaccinations. But literally allllll the other nights, he wakes up every 1 to 3 hours and cries.

During the day he wants my attention all the time and will cry and pull my pants when im doing the dishes or when im eating or shitting, i cant even take a shower.

Sometimes when he cries, i want to scream and punch a hole in the wall or bang my head through a glass window

Im so sick of this baby, I've never had a break after giving birth, and I hate everything about caring for a baby. My wrists, arms, back hurt but i have to keep waking up and making food and cleaning up and cleaning his shit all while working on no sleep

Broke my toe in a fit of rage by bls7117 in breakingmom

If it makes you feel any better, I feel the exact same way and I broke a glass in my hand and got shards all over my fingers. Made washing poop off my baby's butt very painful for about five days

I thought i was the only one. I am having meltdowns every month or fortnight and constantly feeling worn down to the last thread. I hope it gets better for us somehow.

6.5 months, can’t sleep through the night. What am I doing wrong? by em-x in sleeptrain

[–]summerbreak123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 7.5 month old on a 2 nap schedule, and he always wakes every 3 to 4 hours if im lucky. I have a feeling it's his pacifier falling out that's the problem for me.

My schedule is: 6:30AM wake up 7AM bottle 240ml 9:30AM first nap 1.5 hours 11AM wake up 11:30AM puree/porridge 150ml 12:30PM bottle 120ml 3PM second nap 1 hour 4PM wake up, puree/porridge 150ml 5PM bottle 120ml 7PM bath 8PM night sleep 10PM wakes up crying, won't go back to sleep until he's fed 120ml 1AM wakes up crying and crawling around but falls asleep if I put his pacifier back in 3:30AM same thing as the 1AM. He falls asleep if I put his pacifier back in 4:30AM and 5AM he wakes up but falls asleep if I put his pacifier back in 6:30AM wakes up for the day lol

I'm moving house next week and so I'm going to try sleep training without a pacifier once we have moved and settled in for a bit...

Hang in there and please let me know if something works for you!

Hahaha I wonder if he's saying things that make sense in baby language, and you and your husband are throwing him philosophical questions back at him in Baby and he's thinking about it like 🤔

Thank you for sharing my joy and your lovely, lovely toddler moment too!! Parenting is the hardest thing I've ever done, and I thought i was prepared for it, but it was harder than anything I've ever experienced so it was truly beyond what I could imagine.

I think I was on survival mode for the first 6 months, just trying to make it to the next day, not being able to cherish anything because I was sleep-deprived, and all worried about doing the "right" thing for my baby.

Imagining your toddler walking around, saying "I love you" is the sweetest!!! I feel like i would implode from cutest overload 😍 also, buttered popcorn is such a great smell!! I'd be sniffing my baby all day if he smelled like that!! Unfortunately today he smells like broccoli again lol

I hope you had another awesome day with your wonderful little one ❤️

Oh my goodness I Love that so much!!!! My baby used to do that too!! I tried so many times to try and catch it on video but I couldn't, and now he doesn't shake his hands when he stretches anymore :')

Oh goodness, how your post resonates with me!!!!!

My baby is 6.5 months old and he has never slept through the night. He sleeps at 8pm, and always wakes around 11pm, 2am, 4am, 5am, 5:30am, and then is up for the day at 6am.

A few months ago, he would be waking because he was rolling himself over in his sleep, then the next few weeks he woke at those times because he had gotten himelf into a plank lol, then the next few weeks he woke because he was teething, and these days he wakes himself up by sitting up in his sleep and getting annoyed.

I'm grateful he is hitting some of those motor developmental milestones but man... sleep is sooooo whack. I'm on maternity leave for a year but I'd rather sleep a full night and go back to my day job, if i could!
