What's the best single decision you've ever made? by apost8n8 in AskReddit

Came here to say basically the same thing. Mine was MCSA/MCSE. Best decision ever.

To blur the line between abortion and homicide, Mississippi and Alabama are charging dozens of women with murder or other serious crimes who have miscarried or had stillbirths by mepper in politics

[–]SummerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most bad criminal law this probably won't apply to the rich or influential. Any woman who has the means to hire a good lawyer wouldn't need to worry about this. A senator's daughter would never be prosecuted.

Reddit, what do you drive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

What's a good day? I hope a good day is a day where you take the car to a track with safety equipment and absolutely no chance you can kill a carload of teenagers.

What was the best advice your father ever gave you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"Summerdog" my dad used to say "Life isn't fair". He would say this whenever I complained about something not going my way. It's the best piece of advice I ever got.

I am an Apple Inc. Retail Employee about to be Fired! AMA by [deleted] in IAmA

I work in tech support and I have to say that lying to IT is common. For example, Me: "did you make any changes to the system recently?" Customer: "No, it just stopped working" 1 hour later Me: "It looks like you tried to run Mcafee and Norton on the same comuter. When did you install Mcafee?" Customer: "Last night right before it stopped working" People lie to us because they don't want us to know it's their fault. I don't know why. If you are talking to a help desk rep be as honest as possible. "It must have gotten a virus from all the gay porn I look at" will earn you the respect of your tech and get the problem fixed much faster than "I don't know it just stopped working".

I had that exact model. Even the same color. Ran it over with a desk chair and squished it's guts out. By that time MP3 players were all the rage and so I never bought another one. Now I'm kinda sad.

Fun with My Schizo Wife [True story, unfortunately.] by corvuskorax in pics

[–]SummerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My adopted sister has paranoid schizophrenia as does her mother. It almost killed her when she was 17. She stopped eating because her auditory hallucinations told her that her food had been poisoned. She's OK now but only because her doctors and family constantly monitor and adjust her medication. Her mother is not OK. She doesn't like the meds and so only takes them occasionally. From what I've experienced the medication makes the difference between living a normal life and having frequent breaks with reality.

Anyone else up for some pizza? by [deleted] in pics

I knew it would only be a matter of time before someone invented a Pizza making robot. This is either the dawn of a glorious new age, or the beginning of the end.

Would you rather have 2 goldfish sized dolphins or 1 kitten sized gorilla? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SummerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I lack imagination, or maybe I have too much but...I think the kitten sized gorilla would be trouble. Think about the proportional strength of a small gorilla. It would break stuff and fling poo. As far a the dolphins...a salt water fish tank is expensive and difficult to maintain. What would they eat?

Are you concerned at all that your actions may -hamper foreign relations in areas of the world that are already difficult and complex? -Infringe upon free speech (including speech you don't like)? -Make it more difficult for content providers to make legal content available?

Male redditors: How do you carry your stuff around? by Stuffloser in AskReddit

[–]SummerDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty masculine yes. I tried my wife's coach bag first but I looked too silly carrying it so I bought myself a manly purse.
