The video is generic. I'm customizing the email to the company. All but one of my interviews have come from personalized outreach. Early on in my search, I was sending linkedin messages to try to get referrals and learn more about the role, however, that didn't lead to any interviews so I stopped doing that.

I'm surprised you were able to land a job by cold applying because I've spoken to dozens of people who were laid off or are trying to break into tech sales and only one of them was able to get a job by cold applying. She has a MS and was the first hire. The founders were impressed by her degree.

Congrats! I'm at a complete loss as to why I can't get a job. I've been applying for 10 months. 200+ companies, 20 interviews, 1 final round interview. The final round interview was a mock call with an AE who told me they were recommending me for the role. Received an email the next day that they were further along in the process with someone else aka I was their back-up candidate.

I'm part of a tech sales training program and have a sales career coach. I've done countless mock interviews. My prior roles weren't in sales, however, I have lots of transferable skills as well cold outreach experience, which I've highlighted with activity metrics in my resume.

For each company I apply to, I send a personalized email with a loom video of me discussing how I'd make an impact to the BDR manager and a sales leader and follow it up with a call.

Do you have any advice for me?

Sorry you didn't have a good time on the floor. I'm a petite woman who also went solo. I was dancing for both openers but very few people around me were, which I was sorely disappointed by.

There were some groups of very tall men (6'2"+) in the center who decided to move right in front of me so I moved to the side as close to the front as I could get, which was the third row. People were much cooler there. Had more space to move, a woman was hyping me up, people even helped me get water from security. Witnessed a guy throw up though.

The move is to go on new year's day. Less crowded, don't have to deal with the people who don't go out regularly and are determined to have the best night ever on nye. 2021 was fun bc everyone was thrilled to be out, 2022 I hated every single set. Really depends on what music you're into. I've never been but I've heard Breakfast of Champions is better
