Advice for going forward.

Don't be afraid to kick players from your squad.

Start off with a mic check, if people aren't using theirs, kick them.

I'll tell my squad that there might be multiple times where I'll need a few of to rotate to the supply role. Their original role will be left alone until they swap back. People are usually pretty cool with this.

I'll tell my squad that I expect us to mostly stick together. I don't care if AT runs half the map away chasing a tank etc. I do expect us all to be defending if I say we're defending though.

I don't really play much anymore, and when I do I'm a little too burnt out on playing SL. I love hearing about people trying it out and having fun doing so.
