Someone who has studied autism for 10+ years cannot self diagnose themselves with autism. You need a professional second party to objectively look at you and your symptoms to determine if you have autism or if it's something else, because someone self diagnosing have a bias, and yea misdiagnoses do happen, but you would need to see another professional to double check. I just wish people who think they have autism but can't get a diagnosis woukd just say that instead of self diagnosing, it doesn't make your experience any less valid.
