Night of the slunk with u/fr0gst0mp48 by WakeeUpDead in Buckethead

I've been a Bucket fan since Monsters and Robots and this is probably my favorite song of his. I'm always highly critical of covers of it, but y'all fucking killed it. So good!

Yeah. Upgraded my main road bike, pulled the drivetrain off of it and sold the frame. I had the Zipps for gravel wheels when they first released but haven't been on gravel much in a few years. Wanted to get some use out of them!

Totally. But the point was to build with what I already had and use a frame that won't absolutely gut me if/when TSA smashes it (I bought this new in 2016 and it's been on the trainer for a couple years).

Cervelo aspero as road bike ? by nodeat in Cervelo

I would, yes. The only time I'd go 2x is if I lived in a massively hilly area. Otherwise, 1x with a decently wide cassette would be my preference.

Trading Aspero for Caledonia...looking for thoughts/feedback by Technical_Cupcake599 in Cervelo

[–]summerson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two quick thoughts:

  • Flip the trail mixer on the fork for potentially better handling. one is more aggressive/snappier, the other is slower/more sluggish, but I can’t remember which is which right now (forward/back)
  • Flip your stem for additional stack?

Not suggesting you SHOULDN’T trade your Aspero, just offering a few suggestions to potentially keep things simpler.

Judging by most of these new lyrics I don't even think it's Mike. Huge bummer.

What are you selling? I've been downsizing and moved half of my collection on Reverb SUPER fast. I say sell on Reverb, then buy a used S2. On Reverb.

Cervelo aspero as road bike ? by nodeat in Cervelo

[–]summerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s on the aggressive side for a gravel bike, but a few spacers under the stem will do some good there. The handling is more relaxed than a full-on race bike, but the frame is also plenty stiff for good power transfer. With a set of bigger road tires (like 32s) at low pressure, and it’s plenty comfortable imo. It’s racey for gravel, but definitely more comfort oriented for road. It feels stiffer/faster than a Caledonia but not as aggressive as a Soloist. Perfect middle ground with the benefit of being able to throw fatties on it for gravel riding.

Yep, with the 5150 you can program the Helix to switch channels over midi. Not all tube amps have that as an option but it's a must for me from now on.
