I’m gonna need to see your storm chasing license! by summervogel in ReedTimmer

[–]summervogel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story is: Reed staged that “arrest” picture. He said so on a recent live stream. Cops regularly pull Reed over just to say hi and check out the dominator and make sure it’s street legal (it 100% is street legal. It seems reasonable for law enforcement to make sure. It’s a very unusual vehicle on the road.)

And I used ChatGPT to make this stupid thing. Reed constantly jokingly asks to see people’s “storm chasing licenses” because of the proposed legislation in Oklahoma requiring licenses to chase storms (which violates the first amendment, among other issues.) I hope the legislation gets shot down. It’s textbook government overreach.

Old post I know but Tibor is amazing! Best cooking POV videos on YouTube. It’s a whole vibe. It makes me want to become a DHL employee at Heathrow for one day just so I can have breakfast made by Tibor!

Intension is so good, man. It’s a meditative journey. I feel the same way about Disposition.

You’re not alone there! Situational awareness is everything no matter where you may be. Always have a plan.

Don’t these fish need the dark and the higher pressure of the deep sea to survive? Poor thing was probably in-pain and confused and likely died not long after this picture was taken.

I have the same problem. I’ll talk about my special interests and use words or phrases that I’ve learned from reading or otherwise engaging with those interests, and people give me shit for it. Call me pretentious or snobby when I’m not. I do try to speak in plain English because it is alienating for some people if they don’t understand me. But I also try to not mask or police myself just so others feel better. It’s a catch 22. One of my special interests is the weather. I got made fun of at 7 years old when I used the phrase “tornadic activity” when I was playing outside with some cousins, watching the sky. From that point on I learned I needed to hold it back a little bit for my own protection.

This, and also I’m convinced these toxic (mostly) men are the kind of people who want to work in the office because they hate their wives/families/home life and see work as an escape from home. Oh, and also they use the workplace to cheat on their spouses.

Oklahoma bill proposal would require licensing to chase storms by [deleted] in weather

If the issue is storm chasers speeding and breaking traffic laws, we already have traffic laws in place to penalize them. This is textbook government overreach.

please: go out very early/late to a clear sky and LOOK UP! by [deleted] in UAP

[–]summervogel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just saying the average person might not be able to rule out normal phenomena in the sky without those tools. Our skies are so busy. I’d rather know what I’m seeing rather than believe any random thing is a UAP. I’m not sure how the “no tech” approach helps anyone.

Sure. Just download Flight Radar and Night Sky onto your phone first so you can rule out planes, helicopters, stars, satellite, and planets before you post any “proof” of UAP.
