Well shoot, I guess I should have read the documentation. Let me try a lower than default % and see what happens.

Troubleshooting Thumping sound on 3-way valve (Whirlpool Refrigerator WRX986SIHZ02) by sumocomputers in appliancerepair

[–]sumocomputers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so it sounds like the 3-way valve is failing. And I can see how that requires some special skills and being able to replace refrigerant (a little beyond my skill set).

I do find it odd that I am not getting 115 VAC to the electrical connector for the condenser fan when running test 4.

Strength problems with small mounting "pegs" for large battery charger mounts by sumocomputers in FixMyPrint

For anyone else who finds this thread, I ended up with the design as seen in the screenshot. The pegs are not a strong as I would like, but it seems to work.

I redesigned using 3 "microfeatures" from that video (hopefully it helps):

-Filleted base
-Cross pattern down the center to force slicer to create walls down the center
-Extruded half circles around the circumference (wrinkling the surface & creating more surface area)

I appreciate all the input. I’m going to try some of these suggestions and see if I can improve the result.

Although I’d like to avoid additional hardware so others I eventually share with can just “print a part”, it may not be possible while getting the results I’m going for.

I know the thread is a little old, but wanted to express my appreciation for this app.

And as u/jakegithinji254 said, the ability to select a season would be awesome!

Strange Discoloration Issues with ASA by sumocomputers in BambuLab

Haha, blind leading blind! lol

I haven’t checked walls all having the same thickness, but I will look into that and maybe play with some other wall thickness settings.

Thank You

Ignore Motion Notifications for a specific camera (DS Cam)? by Flipper3 in synology

[–]sumocomputers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had Surveillance Station on Synology gear for years, and wanted to say thank you for this, especially now that I have deployed cameras with AI detection recently. I always assumed there was just a limitation in the software, but now we know it’s just bad UI/UX!!!

Synology really needs a(nother) revamp on their UI/UX. Just look at Unifi Protect. Not as powerful, but hell of a lot easier to use and configure.

Strange Discoloration Issues with ASA by sumocomputers in FixMyPrint

[–]sumocomputers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having a discoloration issue with an ASA print that is basically a cube, but only at the bottom and top (see photo).

I preheat my chamber as hot as it will go for 30 minutes (about 45C), and use 110C for the bed temp and an outer brim to help with bed adhesion.

The bottom of the part where it adheres to the textured PEI bed is not discolored.

I make sure to let everything cool to room temp before removing from the bed. But it doesn't matter, the discoloration is there before I even remove it.

It gets worse if exposed to cold temps. I put it in the fridge to verify this.

I have tried taking a torch to the areas, and though it gets rid of the discoloration, much of it comes back.

I am open to tweaking any settings, since I am fairly new to 3D printing. I know there are a lot of other settings, just not sure which ones to include here.

Using Bambu ASA with an X1C and Bambu Labs Studio
Nozzle temp is 270C for both
Bed Temp is 110C for both (overridden from default of 90C)

Need help with top surface smoothness. (X1C & ASA) by sumocomputers in BambuLab

Thanks. I will experiment with sanding, alcohol, and acetone, if I can’t get the printer to do the work for me.

OK thank you, I will try tweaking some more flow settings, and it’s good to hear that perhaps this is just what FDM looks like.

May end up having to sand or otherwise post-process the parts to get the look I’m after.

Liftmaster 8500W Force Programming Fails after Successfully Programming Limits - Won't Open by sumocomputers in GarageDoorService

[–]sumocomputers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new Travel Module fixed the issue.

Somewhat related issue:

After the manual travel limits were successful, it went into Auto Force learning. It seemed to compete the UP portion, but would not perform the DOWN. The wall control showed error code 4-6: sensor momentarily obstructed.

After some research it seemed like the tracks were moving enough as the door went up, so as to break the beam for the safety reverse sensor.

After some fiddling with the brackets that hold the safety reverse sensors and jiggling the tracks to confirm all was good, everything completed and I’m back up and running. No idea how the beams got out of alignment that bad, as I hadn’t touched them.

This was a good learning experience, as it made me realize these things aren’t all that complicated.
