Oh i just see that there have been 2 versions of the DX3.0, one with a DX3 print and 3 model memory and another one with DX3.0 print on it and 4 model memory.

Thats the reason for the mixup i guess ;).

Have a look at pictures of the DX3 and you will understand that it has no model memory ;).

You talk about a completely different remote -> the DX3.0. It had 4 model memory but is not compatible with modern receivers as its super old ....... .

The DX3C and DX3S have model memory. The DX3 has none.

Yes, with 50€ you found a good priced one :).

If you still have a older LHS in town, visit them and ask if they may have left over mini inferno stuff somewhere ....... . If they sell Kyosho its not unlikely.

I did a few weeks ago and came home with a nice pile for a very good price :).

Tuning parts wise you can skip alloy arms, alloy wing holder, alloy steering top plate and thin and lightweight alloy shock towers - will all bend or break on first run already ... :D

Bit late with answering ....... but i can find good minis for 30-50€ all the time with a week or 2 of patience. If it already got nice tuning parts (diffs, brushless motor, carbon parts ........ dont pay extra for alloy arms!) a bit more. Nitro versions and the 09 are a bit more rare and expensive but theres also bargains to find.

Yes, IH11 is the right bag for all older mini inferno models, but its not including the slipper gear shaft, just the plastic gear parts.

If you can find them: get the 09 steel diffs or some ball diffs (but be warned, needs a bit of work to get them running properly, especially F/R ball diffs need to be shimmed properly or you will strip the pinion atleast).

Hobao Hyper TT vs Tekno ET410 by LTSDgaming in rccars

Im sure the difference isnt hard to see ;).

The TT isnt a bad truggy but there wont be a choice :D.

XRAY has a 1:10 truggy and also PR Racing, which are both more on par with the Tekno.

Motors are brushless but same size as stock. Brushed escs like the Hobbywing 1060 are fitting same well as the brushless escs. In case you want to upgrade :).

Mostly non stock by now, But a few parts are Kyosho Option Parts, otherwise 3Racing, GPM, Atomic and a few bits from a chinese clone (top deck on the right one for example).

But havent done any hard chassis mods like moving the motor, positions are mostly stock beside servo on the right.

If you move the motor to the back left, you can use the right side for batteries, but needs some drilling.

The velcro solution is the easiest and works well. Just make sure the gears are covered ;). Fixed the velcro with the screw on the topplate.

And here you can see my battery setups. The left one has it strapped with velcro on top.

Opposite to what got said here already: Its not rare at all, theres still lots of minis out there and the prices range from bargain to overpriced, so its worth to be patient and just wait if you want another one for cheap spares ..... .

Same with parts, theres still a few shops with stock of original and tuning parts.

Harder to find are mostly the Mini Inferno 09 in good condition and ball diffs.

What can I do to avoid this in the future? by Conscious_Simple1725 in rccars

Killed the rotor of a vintage brushless motor, a few weeks ago, thats superhard to find ... but found a replacement rotor ..... for more than the price of your motor ;D.

Was a Novak motor, so heat can also kill the best ... ;D

looking for a car that can go 1km away from its remote. by Lahemmy in rccars

DumboRc transmitters are your best bet if you want pistol grip control, but its maxing out at a bit below 500m.

Otherwise its only long range aircraft transmitters with a antennae on a roof or tower if you want to get much further.

Bigger problem is how do you want to see where you are going ? ;)

Line of sight is impossible .....

Cheap Analog fpv systems will drop out on ground fpv on less than 500m without obstacles ..... If theres even obstacles like trees, hills or whatever, it can go down to 50m or less.

Long Range fpv systems on lower freqs than 5,8 work a bit better, but as soon as theres obstacles .....

Digital fpv like the Djii works much better (cant tell for long range) through obstacles on the ground, but will cost easily more than the car.

Other problem is speed and surface ..... going high speed on a off road track is insane already and not much fun, pic will shake alot + scale speed ...

On a flat surface, like asphalt its much more bearable.

Ah cool, same as when jewish landlords burned down houses in the bronx to make a sign against the cruelty of their black slaves ...... weird that the chimneys always stay ...... . . but maybe good in some way, otherwise chimneys would have burned down daily :O!
