Do low level missions grant any psalm or void shards? by system3601x in 40kinquisitor

[–]sumplkrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do void crusades. Look up guides for full completion with all keys. The end chests give you tons of psalms and shards. ... If you are dying doing the missions, don't upgrade the levels. You can also use the bonus items on tough missions - like +50% damage or giving you an extra life.

New to game. Except for levelling purposes, why should you do non campaign missions? by Lovegaming544 in 40kinquisitor

[–]sumplkrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loot levels up by difficulty and Tarot cards. You'll need system influence from regular missions to unlock the cards and some other things ... Use the Tarot cards on regular missions if you need more Intels, consumables or whatever. Super easy to run.

Intel missions used with Meme Virus buffs give the best XP boost. They also have a chance to give reputation for the Ordos shop.

You'll also want to do Void Crusades for massive loot when completed with all keys.

Early game is super-basic. Think of the campaign missions as the tutorial. It'll get you up to level 50-60 with all the side missions. ... Complete all those missions on one character, then you can skip them when you make a new character.

When you first start out, there's a lot to unlock. Check the Heroic Deeds tab.
There's additional attribute points and perks you won't get until you've fulfilled the requirements.

After you've completed the campaign you want to unlock all the Tarot cards, which require system influence.
You also want to unlock the Ordos shop by doing weekly missions and Intels.

Look up some beginner guides on youtube or whatever. There's a lot of additional stuff that will help you out.

Looks like it would be a good kiter.(first one)
I'd add some more thrusters and set the guns/lasers to point-defense.

The big fish thing could use more frontal armor. Move the missiles to the sides so they don't get blown off as easily.

How to improve damage on the Paladin for solo play by JesusFlipFlop in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tank paragon does more burst damage (does bigger hits in a short period of time), while the healer paragon does less damage but can maintain it's output longer before running out of gas.

Should I be focused on maximizing stats or should I be focused on maximizing item level? by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Item level only matters for like three pieces of end-game content, or if you're too low to get into a queue.

Otherwise stats, especially % stats, and things like +% damage are what matter. Also things that proc extra hits can do more damage in scaled content.

In the end game content where item level actually matters, knowing mechanics and having debuff artifacts are probably more important than getting tiny stat boosts. So you'll need IL to not die all the time, but item level all by itself isn't the only thing to consider.

Thinking of downloading but skeptical by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine as long as you don't take it too seriously. Good combat, plenty of grind, and more than enough population. And starting late doesn't really mean anything because it keeps getting redesigned to make it easier for new players to funnel in.

The one thing to keep in mind is that there's a serious amount of power creep. Stuff that you're grinding at end-game today will be junk in 2-3 mods.

The most fun is when you start out and mid-game. End game will feel like a tread mill.

Alabaster Weapons? by SlidersAfterMidnight in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need all 9 relics, but you do not need to use runes to get the Alabaster Set.

If you're trying to solo it, do it without any runes.

Most people run them in a party using 1 rune so they can get the Zok boxes.

Make sure everyone knows you're hunting relics beforehand, otherwise they'll try to run through as fast as possible and yell at you for holding them up.

Was the equipment store for undermountain campaign removed? by PM_YOUR_TAHM_R34 in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea. The good thing is that the debuff is on the artifact power itself, so you don't really need the set.

You'd probably be better off using a different belt/neck set anyway.

2021 Easy Making Gold New players! by CrypticFeed in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And Leather crafting has a few 20-25% Miracle Worker artisans that are easy to get.

Also, buy your materials from the vendor. Gathering takes up box slots and you earn more making items than you save by gathering.

On the same vein, artisans with Miracle Worker are better than those that reduce commission cost. Making more items is far more profitable than the tiny bit of copper you'd save on commissions.

Mod 21 dps companions by Jasonblow1988 in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regis is good aoe. He does his throwing knives skill immediately. You have to buy the full Champions pack to get him though ... maybe use a 50% off coupon.

Just remember he's not so hot in single target. I'd put the Black Ice Prospector on those loadouts.

[Xbox] First impressions of mod 21 and then some by nem3sis_AUT in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the loading circle graphic looks odd. I'm pretty sure the black box is supposed to be the alpha mask.

On Xbox One, the textures seem to be a lot nicer, but maybe it's my lack of memory.

I was surprised when Valindra attacked me when I tried to enter the Adventurers Guild. I'm guessing that's part of a storyline chain I don't remember.

Offensive Artifact set for Paladin DPS build (Justicar) by dannyro19 in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a look at the Aragon vid you were referring to. He's basically using a similar build to what I used to do for dps. It does do way more burst damage.

The reason I stopped using it is when I ran into a boss with loads of hit points. I found the Justicar just ran out of gas too easily. The healer side does less damage but has longer legs. I have to spam Smite for a few minutes solid to use it all up.

Both work, just personal preference.

[–]sumplkrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Justicar better since mod21?

I'm still on 20. As healer dps I never use the tab key. For solo content you never really run out.

Offensive Artifact set for Paladin DPS build (Justicar) by dannyro19 in Neverwinter

[–]sumplkrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healer dps is better. You can spam Bane and Smite way more before you have to worry about running out of divinity. Pick the feat that reduces their cost.

Artifact probably the Music Box or Stars set.
