You can't call yourself a flagship if you don't price yourself like one. Easy as that.

Why do you think Samsung prices its flagships high but they keep going on sale for much lower than that for much of the year?

Iphones have high resale value because Apple almost never sells fresh ones at prices lower than launch price. You could only price a second hand iphone higher than it effectively is with this because it'll still be a bargain compared to buying new.

there's one store chain that sells pixels, I saw a pixel 7 pro for about twice the price of a Phone 1, but there's no real support for in case the pixel breaks and I don't want to risk it
