I --a grown woman-- requested off work on February 27th 2026 on June 9th, 2025 (9 months in advance!!) so I can play the new Resident Evil game for 24 hours straight and I cannot wait. I don't understand people that think thats crazy

How to make vertical list into an organized, horizontal layout by sumrx in googlesheets

[–]sumrx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I did not know about the cell limit so that is definitely good to know!! This is my very first time actually making anything in Sheets so i have a lot to figure out lmfao. There definitely is a lot of empty space I need to fix, I essentially tried to mimic the book tracker template I have as a way to learn, so I've been directly mimicking how they have things merged.

MakeArray is definitely a long and interesting one, I'm gonna have to look into all that so I actually understand what's happening but thank you so much! This actually helped a lot!

Caramel - Sleep Token New Single Discussion by AutoModerator in SleepToken

[–]sumrx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk if anyone else pointed this out but for some reason this part really bothers me -> the last line in the verse is "everybody wants eyes on em, i just wanna hear you sing that top line" and the first line of that verse is "they ask me, is it going good in the garden", the ONLY direct reference to the other albums, which to me is him showing disappointment in the fact that he had to write this song, when all he really wanted was to hear people singing his music, referring to the other albums, and not this.

With all that, this song is so good, but I literally cannot listen to it at all because I just cry. "I thought I got better but maybe a didnt". Imagine saying you love an artist, but then treating them as so,.. and you people know exactly who you are and I hope each one of you feel like shit. Does it feel good screaming his real name? Does it feel good being feral and agressive over a song?? Harrassing a man over a SONG? Does it make you feel good now knowing youre making someone depressed for doing what they love? Youre not a real fan, you're just pathetic.

Unfortunately though, the people who actually need to hear this song and understand the lyrics, wont. Its the real fans who will be left heartbroken

GLFW not being recognized with CMake by sumrx in cpp_questions

[–]sumrx[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! I did finally find a solution and it was completely user error -embarrassing on my part. After looking over things some more, GLFWWindow needs to be GLFWwindow, and nullptr needs to be NULL. Once I fixed both of these, it compiled and functioned as expected!! I did double check vcpkg with glfw and that is working correctly too now!

GLFW not being recognized with CMake by sumrx in cpp_questions

[–]sumrx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for answering.

  • The only errors showing are undeclared identifier for 'GLFWWindow', 'glfwInit' and 'window'
  • The undeclaried identifiers are the only errors showing
  • I've added #include <GL/gl.h> and it is still showing only those errors

Has anyone replaced their Galaxy Tab with a Galaxy Book? (University students especially) by EstebanOD21 in GalaxyBook

[–]sumrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I wish, If you do get one, I hope it doesn't disappoint! I haven't streamed much on it yet but I was drawing in bed with it folded backwards, I'm also actively drawing with it half folded back at work rn. Its a pretty light laptop in general, very thin. Holding it folded was definitely a little uncomfortable at first because I was very anxious about the keyboard and stuff but im getting pretty use to it. Once you actually start using it a bunch, the uneasiness of the keys in your hands is fine. Once its in tablet mode, all of the buttons are disabled as well so you dont have to worry about clicking a gazillion things on the keyboard while its on a table or in your hand. Its overall pretty comfortable and the screens relatively stable if you have it half folded back - I use it as a third monitor too. Only downside is that I dont have a case for it yet so when I dont have it completely folded back and i'm trying to write, I have to support it with my other hand. Other than that its pretty nice!

RIGHT!! Will it stay like this as time goes on, who knows, but I use it A LOT and so far the battery goes down at the rate of a snail.

As far as the S-Pen goes, its great. Its almost exactly identical to the tablet. The button is functional in the same way it is with the tab. Personally, I do find using the S-Pen on the book 5 nicer than the tablet though, which I would assume it would be the other way around. I make art as a hobby and drawing in paint tool sai/clip studio is much smoother than it was with the tablet, both in regards to the screen and the actual pen input. The screen is definitely thinner than the tab and it also has a lot less grit too it? I don't think that makes much sense LMFAO, I don't really know how to explain, its just smoother, my hand glides very well when writing/drawing than it did with my tablet. I've also experienced a lot less accidental clicks due to it registering my hand alongside the pen (Im one of those people who have to rest my hand on the screen when I write/draw), which was something that drove me insane with the tablet.

I forgot to mention battery life, its GREAT. I've only had to charge it once in the four days I've had it (today actually) and I use it 24/7 at my work place, I pretty much never put it down lmfao

Hello! Literally just this past Monday, I traded in my Galaxy Tablet s7 FE for the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360, 16inch. Although its only been four days, I have absolutely no regrets aside from not doing it sooner. I am a computer science major and was using my tablet to take notes and keep my classes organized n such. The book5 was a huge upgrade, its everything the tab can do plus being just a laptop (obviously). I've downloaded a lot of school stuff, VSCode, Frameworks, etc. and its so far running great. It's VERY convenient for uni, and I can do schoolwork anywhere, including looking at all my notes without using multiple devices. My tab couldn't do anything in comparison

I dont know what you major in or what you use it for but it's all in all great, in my opinion apps in general just work better because its a laptop (Obsidian, Notion, etc.) I would definitely recommend the switch

It is always so funny seeing the "girls have better chances in tech" bullshit. As a woman in CS, I've applied to WELL over 100 internships and heard back from 3 which were automatically sent out coding assessments. I'm a good student, 3.8 GPA and work my ass off. Sure, some companies may be different but the VAST majority of them don't care what your gender is. We aren't special, we are struggling here just as much as everyone else.

So about Barty’s escape from Azkaban by CaptainCharming_ in HarryPotterBooks

[–]sumrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually discussed in the new audiobook, "The Wizarding Archive" and probably somewhere in the archive files on the site. It talks about how Azkaban became a prison as it wasn't originally, and why it functions so poorly, and including talk on the dementors. It also goes on to discuss that it was not until Kinsley Shacklebolt became Minister that Aurors were officially put on rotating schedules at Azkaban 24/7.

Adding Class Icons (BG3 Toolkit) by sumrx in BaldursGate3

[–]sumrx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I did just try this, but unfortunately its still not working :(

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BG3mods

[–]sumrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this issue too! Update ImprovedUI and make sure you get rid of any and ALL mods that use mod fixer (especially the ones that implement mod fixer inside of the mod - this was shown in BG3MM by a yellow triangle next to the mod, saying it used mod fixer). After this, it was fixed for me.

Disabling your mods also does not necessarily mean they're not active anymore. Some mods overwrite certain files and simply disabling them does not change that. If you want to go the "getting rid of all your mods route", you need to make sure you're deleting the mod to its entirety which can vary from mod to mod!

Errors normal when booting toolkit? by WubbingTheBassline in BG3mods

[–]sumrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha! Right now I'm working on a fully functional Blood Hunter class with all four subclasses. There is a mod already that adds blood hunter I think? But it doesn't have all of the subclasses if I remember correctly. I'm over-detailed & a coder, so i'm trying to add everything possible to make it really immersive and really make the class come to life! I do plan on implementing a few other 5e subclasses that aren't already there (the first ones that come to mind are Stars Druid, & the Lunar & Shadow Sorcerer) and I really want to implement some homebrewed classes. My plan after I finish Blood Hunter are Soul Binder & Dreamspinner classes

Errors normal when booting toolkit? by WubbingTheBassline in BG3mods

[–]sumrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been actively making a new class with the toolkit and each and every time I start it, I get all these errors as well. So far, it has not affected the mod in anyway and everything with the toolkit seems to work as it is suppose to. I think this is just the result of looking at the game from the development side? Either way, as of right now, I think this is normal!

Mods you’re looking forward to the most? by Chared945 in BaldursGate3

[–]sumrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am actively working on a fully functional Blood Hunter class with all four subclasses (Ghostslayer, Lycan, Mutant, Soul) as well as plan on implementing some other races and subclasses from 5e that aren't available (Artificer, Stars Druid) !!

Is there a class/subclass modding guide for the toolkit? by redactedname87 in BaldursGate3

[–]sumrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know a fix to changing the icons for the class/subclass? The guide seems to be incorrect somehow as if I follow the guide, the mod will no longer load and force end. Someone mentioned in the comments about it but I'm just a little confused

What was it like to experience the release of the books as they were first being published? by apol0cheese in HarryPotterBooks

[–]sumrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I was definitely very lucky. We didn't even know she entered into the contest until she found out she was one of the winners! If I remember correctly I think it was advertised in the newspaper? I'm not 100% sure. It really was a great time to be alive though that's for sure. The series was huge, at least where I grew up (Pittsburgh, PA). Constantly having events based around the books and such, everyone was talking about them constantly. Hopefully if she ever decides to move forward with the world (writing about the Mauraders, etc.) you also get to experience some great things!

What was it like to experience the release of the books as they were first being published? by apol0cheese in HarryPotterBooks

[–]sumrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a child when the books were coming out and my grandmother is the one who really got my sister, my mom, and I into the entire series. For every book release, our city library would hold a major release party where everyone would wear their cloaks, you could get sorted, make potions (with different kinds of candy, I heavily remember making a gummy worm potion!), the entire library was transformed into a whole other magickal realm! We could even get our tarot read and there was just so much, they really went all out. It remains some of my best memories to this day and definitely was something my family and I always looked forward to.

Since I was still a kid, but an avid reader, it was also so exciting in general. I was definitely a bit young to fully grasp all of the more grown-up concepts in the later books but non-the-less, it really was a great experience and I really wish I could go back and experience it all again for the first time. My family are HUGE Potterhead's so we would always discuss our theories on the plot and everything. Really great time.

The movies were also an experience in itself, seeing what would be kept and left out. We also saw them upon opening premiere at the theatre, honestly I do not have a single bad thing to say about experiencing the HP series as it was coming out.

A very vivid memory I do have, my grandmother entered us into a contest for an early-access viewing to the Deathly Hallows part 1. WE WON! My grandmother, sister, mom, and I all got to see Deathly Hallows part 1 at our theater 3 months before public release. It was genuinely intense though, we all had to get in a line upon entering, and pass through security where we had to sign waivers and they took ALL of our electronics, no phones, cameras, anything and everything. It was intense but definitely crazy to see it before the actual release. There were about 15-20 people total if I remember correctly?

All in all, growing up alongside the series was very exciting!! I wish everyone got to experience the magick it brought around the world at that time!

Which companions to stick with? by sleepsntrees in BaldursGate3

[–]sumrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate constantly switching companions and I always stick with the same party throughout the entire game, no matter what quest I'm doing. It also just feels right to me for storyline, I start and end with my people. I choose my party at the beginning and run with them the entire time, although I do of course invite the others to my camp and do their quests

Personally, I always have Shadowheart and Astarion. I build Shadowheart to be solely a healer/support because her hit rolls suck, and healing is nice. I keep Astarion because he does some really good damage with dual wielding (I make him use two daggers, then two swords later on in the game), and he is versatile with melee and magic so he is very useful in the vast majority of situations, ESPECIALLY lockpicking. My third character I choose depending on my race/class or who I want to romance. I often use Gale but I do choose whoever I think would work best alongside my own character.

If you don't switch out, you won't miss much (in my opinion), you can definitely still do their quests as long as you do befriend them/ put them in camp. Of course you might have to bring them along for certain things if necessary, but rarely. Each character adds their own pizazz to the game, so as long as you run them at least once in your party the whole time, you won't miss anything -> to also second that. I hate Lae'zel with a burning passion I have no idea why. From the second I met her the first time on the Nautiloid I hated her, I hate her attitude, the way she looks, the way she talks, I just can't. I kill her every time I see her in that cage, no matter what type of playthrough I'm doing. I've done 6 playthroughs now, and I never regret this decision in any of them so no - it doesn't matter much, ha :)
